Interesting. I guess Daisy was off for a vocal related issue last week then. Jaimie was on for Susan/Priest, if she's playing Jenny and the Priest tonight which (I think) is Daisy's only 'major' singing part so she's obviously still recovering. Jaimie did struggle with the Cake on Saturday so it got quite lost during the 'amens'.*
*what a weird sentence to write.

Oh Marcus that it is nonsense, you know you want to see Faye Tozer's Bobbie This has made me HOWL! I'm surprised to see someone mention an actor who isn't Jane McDonald!

Is anyone (who knows the show) going to the final Saturday Matinee? Would love to know what muck ups they incorporate. I semi-expect: 1) Mel to go full on overdrive in the JuJitSu scene 2) Something different to happen with the 3 handfuls of confetti in 'Drive a Person Crazy' 3) At least one of the shots in Side-by-Side to be real booze. 4) Richard with a grapefruit sized bulge

I went back for a third and final viewing last night. Row D in the Circle, which was a good view. There were a few empty seats around.
They are definitely stretching things! One hour 30 minutes in the first half. To me, it seemed like the extra time was in the wrestling scene and the drugs scene, but I don't know the show as well as some. It didn't seem too long though.
This ran about 10 minutes over by the end, but only made up time because of the cuts in Act 2 with Jenwaa Saayeng on as Bobbie. Glad I got the surprise opportunity to see Jenwaa. She was very good and I always like to see alternative takes in roles.
Jaimie Pruden was on as both Jennie and the Priest, also good. Neither come across as the most exciting roles to me, so I can't think what else to add.
Highlights, Gavin Spokes and Mel Giedroyc who steal the attention whenever they're on stage (there's also an excellent Showstopper podcast with them talking about the roles, if anyone's not heard it).
I'm sure this will be up to 3 1/2 hours by the end of Saturday. Enjoy the remaining nights!

I was on standby for the TodayTix Rush and got lucky so I'm back for visit number 3 (might be my last - will I be able to resist another visit before the week is out? Stay tuned to find out). I'm in Stalls row L and excited to see which Bobbie I'll get!

Sondheim is more than likely to be attending the final performance Saturday, given he's at the Nash talking Follies the day before.

I just saw that. Gutted, I'm at Follies on Saturday and can't get there for Friday. You don't get many chances to met your heroes - sigh.

WestEndCovers are reporting that (perhaps unsurprisingly, given Rosalie’s tweet) Jennifer is back on for Bobbie tonight, with Jaimie Pruden again performing the split track of Jenny and the Priest. As an additional treat, Michael Colbourne is on for Theo today. I can’t wait to see him in that varsity jacket...
