WOW, that certainly came out of the blue!! Can't believe that we'll have Patti on the West End again! Never thought I'd get to see her perform live

They announced the closing of War Paint today. Maybe that is why we were not getting any news from Company, maybe they were waiting until they could announce Lupone.
This is the best news I received this month.

What would people recommend as the best recording for this (for someone who doesn't know the score)? Was thinking if being patriotic and going for the 1996 London one....

Why am i not more excited to see Patti back in the West Endin this? I feel Company should be a real ensemble show without a star name pulling focus, but i get that it wouldnt sell otherwise. No doubt theatre queens will roar to their feet after Ladies Who Lunch!
Who knows, i could well be one of them!

The 1996 is not a bad starting point - though there are a few tuning issues (sadly mainly from Mr Lester)
I quite like the Raul Esparza version - but the score does sound slightly different being actor-musician

By the time Patti's done, there'll be no consonants left anywhere within 200m of the Gielgud.

Killer cast. Great vocals. For me the track i play most form that recording is Sorry/Grateful. Its just gorgeous and they hit every word with the right kind of emotion. Perfection

Well, so many feelings in just seconds... first I thought WT...? is not April the first, right? Then when realized it was not a joke got really excited, then I kept reading to find out that is the female Bobby version and felt disappointed as I really don't know what to think about it, then got excited again as it's still a production of Company and finally felt relieved that Imelda is not playing Joanne..

This is expensive! The entire Stalls and most of the Dress is £70+, I'm not surprised!
