Was also there last night! We must have made up about a third of the house judging by all these posts! Got lucky with TodayTix rush and got front row stalls, absolute bargain seat, a bit of looking up, but didn't miss a thing. {Spoiler - click to view} Though I did get a lungful of fire extinguisher at the end I'd like to go back to see a few of the numbers from further back, primary Side by Side. Knew absolutely nothing about the show going in, and if I hadn't have known the original was gender flipped I would never have guessed, everything worked perfectly.

Can anyone now confirm whether Andy is described as a pilot or cabin crew? I was sure it was pilot...

Can anyone now confirm whether Andy is described as a pilot or cabin crew? I was sure it was pilot... Wasn't specifically listening out for it but fairly sure he described himself as a 'Flight Attendant'. I picked up on it because its a term I wouldn't naturally associate with plane staff (normally Pilot & Crew) but I'd come across it reading a book earlier this week. He does have the US flight wings badge on his jacket though, which to me would be a fairly certain indicator he's a Pilot, however theres no stripes on his sleeves which you would expect of a Pilot. So it's all a bit unclear aha

Checking promo pictures on Instagram as a refresher, he has two strips on his shirt shoulders. And whilst theres no official remit for stripes, Google provides this:
Most airlines also use two stripes to identify the second officer; however, occasionally two stripes may indicate the lead flight attendant. Pilots in training and flight attendants may wear one stripe depending on carrier.

"Lord knows, Andy, you already *have* a hat....."
(oh no, considering april wasn't a very bright character, i have to assume that andy similarly isn't bright, and now i'm going to have to forever wonder why marianne didn't go the whole hog and just name him arthur...)

And what can I say about Barcelona and Mr Fleeshman. Can anyone who has seen it and sat near the front tell me where he hides his battery pack? Having sat in the front row, I can report that the battery pack is carefully hidden inside those blue boxers on his right hip. Ah, the details one takes notice of (purely for the sake of spreading information about technical aspects of a show, of course...)

Attempting a day seat for this tomorrow morning. I hope I arrive when there aren't many people already there as I have no contingency plan for the evening 😂. Been a long time since I've done the while, sit outside a theatre' thing.

I want to write a little letter to Patti just to tell her what a massive fan I am of her and what an honour it is to get to see her here on the London stage etc. but I’m wondering is this an okay thing to do? I’m not one to make sock puppets or bake muffins and buy microwaves for actors like many fans we know of but I’m just wondering is even a letter written to a celebrity a bit personal and/or weird? Oh absolutely write a letter to Patti at the theatre. I'd like to bet in these days of Twitter and social media when it is really easy to tweet etc. that actors get relatively few old fashioned letters! There is lots of hanging around in dressing rooms in theatres too - especially when the run has opened and running, and actors have time to catch up on emails/letters etc. and so she is almost guaranteed to read it. I would also enclose a stamped self addressed envelope and ask for an autograph! What have you got to lose - the price of a stamp!

We might help break you out if you're fabulous enough, I'm in my fabulous Broadway Divas t-shirt (look away TallPaul) and some squirrel grey cord trousers. Hellos, waves, smiles and inappropriate gropes all welcome.

We'll bring signed programmes, fridge magnets and any other old tat other marvelous memorabilia from the glittering glamorous West End. I'm sure, once Patti hears about it, she'll give us one of her diamond encrusted platinum nail files to slip in a replica of Bobbie's cake, for you to slice through those bars and escape. Enjoy tonight I loved it.
