Of course, the dirty costumes to me repesented the workforce of society, hard work and the physical affect long term employment has on our mind, body and spirits no?

Yeah, someone else mention that too and I must admit that thought did cross my mind.
I was just curious.

Having a quick look I think that some of the dong in this current production are not on the CD. I mean I could be wrong, I didn't speed hour pondering this fact and I didn't buy a program on the day.
Maybe someone could clarify?

Maybe someone could clarify? Yeah that's right, the CD (I think) is the Original Broadway Cast, 1978. The show was then revised in with new songs added, including two by Lin-Manuel Miranda, and numbers moved around. It was playing in Chicago and then transferred Off-Broadway in 2012. So the current production at Southwark has the new numbers in it and some of those on the CD cut

It's only upon reading back, do I realise how many there were. And i'm a Correspondence office, so it's kinda embarrassing. All I can say is that i was on my mobile, in my lunch break and in a hurry. That said, thank you sam22 for ignoring the typos and taking the time to respond. Finally, welcome to the board!

I was about to add a photo showing the musical numbers in the programme but for the life of me can't find a way to do it... Thanks for the welcome, I'm actually not new to the board but have posted so infrequently that my status is still a new member! I was at the show on Saturday afternoon, I wasn't that bothered about seeing it but I absolutely loved it. Highlights for me probably 'Delivery', 'It's an Art' and 'Cleanin Women'. I loved the direction between the six younger cast members and the six leads. If I was a bit closer I'd definitely see it again before it closes.

Such a nice show! Great performances, beautiful songs, and I had never seen such good choreography at that venue.
I had even to forget about my rule of not buying programs anymore, as I wanted to make sure I learned the names of everybody involved.

Really excellent production. Great songs. Stand outs for me were Millworker and It's an Art. Great voices. Excellent band. Slightly over busy at the start. Well worth a look.

I was also there Thursday night and really loved it - Southwark Playhouse is having a great run of musicals, I hope it continues. Millwork and A Very Good Day were the most touching for me, with It's An Art and Cleanin' Women the most entertaining. Couldn't fault any aspect of the production though, 5* from me too!

Saw this last night and adored it. Such a great show and not a weak link in the cast. Going back next month.

I saw this on Saturday and L-O-V-E-D it.
Superb all round. Moving, well sung and beautifully choreographed (car tyres, anyone?!).
I won't mention any particular actor (although I am a big Gillian Bevan fan) because everyone is wonderful.
