I know it's literally been 10-20 minutes but I'm now really looking forward to how they stage this.
There's been some unique stagings of it over the years. I imagine the Donmar will do something cool with this.

Wait for the usual suspects to tease this on the socials in 3…2…1… To be fair, if you search Twitter there is a first mention a little earlier this morning.

What other online channels of theatre goss exist? This place has really been the only place I know of I've been lurking for a year or so now.
I know the Donmar have a pool of actors they contact for this stuff so it must be word of mouth this has passed about, right?

For those of us who haven’t seen it, how would you describe the show?

More descriptive please, like “a cross between rocky horror and Mary poppins” 😆 I'd say a cross between the campiness of & Juliet mixed with the traditional style of Dave Malloy centred around - a very limited, and perhaps inherently confusing snippet of - War & Peace Not quite rocky horror, in my opinion but that will definitely depend on direction!

A composer, high on MDMA, reads a chapter of Tolstoy's War & Peace, tells everyone "Hold my beer" and comes up with a crazy electropop adaptation that fuses synthizers with Russian folk music and the audience gets to eat Russian dumplings.

i'm going to say this with a little tact because im not sure on the rules in these parts but someone on youtube has cut together a few dozen different... legal recordings... to create a pro-shot of sorts. if that's your kind of thing it does make good watching...
