So will it be a totally different production to the Globe's then if it's by the English Touring Theatre?

So will it be a totally different production to the Globe's then if it's by the English Touring Theatre? I think ETT toured the Globe's production of Anne Boleyn and it was exactly the same set and music, just a different cast (and indoors obvs).

They also did a tour of Eternal Love, which was a somewhat rewritten but otherwise very familiar version of 2007's In Extremis. So there may be some tiny changes, and the cast should be different (Jo Herbert for Nell, please!), but the creatives are likely to remain the same, and it'll still be very recognisable as the Globe/West End production.

ETT co-produces shows with producing theatres. Some shows tour directly after opening, as with Lady Chatterley's Lover from Crucible Sheffield Theatre this autumn. Others are remounted to tour, as with the Orange Tree's French Without Tears this autumn and Shakespeare's Globe's Nell Gwynn in the spring.

Well that means Side Show will be just a one off at least.
I adored Nell Gwyne on the West End. Problem was that for some reason I had (along with most people I knew) interest to see it.
Perhaps it is the name of the show? The realisation that it's a comedy and not billed as such? I found it very close to Shakespeare in Love which I adored.
Go and see it everyone. It's superb. I hope it finds an audience! Long live Nell!

13 - Nell Gywnn - Kings
Enjoyably amusing fluff, several chucklesome scenes throughout but it does suffer from the odd fact that the two main central characters are actually the most boring characters in the show, the Queen gets one scene and walks off with it in such a fashion that you are left wanting to see more of her rather than the drip she is married to.
I'd much rather see the other minor people here take centre stage - that would be a better show. Esh Alladi was in showstopping form as Kynaston, the actor who is put out by the arrival of actresses, and there is ample support from the likes of Mossie Smith and George Jennings as other members of the acting troupe.
7/10
I thought Anita and Me was going to be the lowest attended show I'd see in the theatre this year but this took the crown this evening - got a free upgrade as there cant have been more than 150 of us there. Shame as even though its a winsome show its a fun night out.

They really are promoting this poorly.

Saw the matinee today and thoroughly enjoyed it. I adore Laura Pitt Pulford and have followed her career since seeing her in Southwark Playhouse's production of 'Mack And Mabel'. She is brilliant in this as her the supporting cast.
I also would enjoyed hearing the music performed live by the Renaissance consort.

I saw this last year at the Apollo and had a delightful return visit today. Laura Pitt-Pulford is fantastic as the lead, and I have to say the Globe atmosphere made all the difference compared to the slightly dead audience I was in at the Apollo.
