You dont however seem to get cheaper tickets for the Upstairs shows. And the Mondays might now be sold out or near to sold out for the Downstairs shows so may not reflect how it looks at the beginning of season opening of course. Ah, thanks for the extra info. The show I'm going for is B. I don't know yet if it's upstairs or downstairs, but from what I can tell, the tickets haven't been put on sale yet so finger crossed I'll be able to get decent seats! It's downstairs, so yes a membership should mean you get first digs at £12 Mondays. 'Chilean playwright Guillermo Calderón makes his Royal Court debut with B, directed by Royal Court Associate Director (International) Sam Pritchard in the Jerwood Theatre Downstairs. To run September 2017. Dates to be announced.' royalcourttheatre.com/royal-court-theatre-announces-new-season-work-february-september-2017/

For Mondays, all seats are £10. For seats downstairs, a proportion of those seats can be booked in advance by members, the rest go on sale to anyone at 9:00 on the day. For upstairs I think the £10 seats can only be booked on the day anyone including members. (or have the £10 seats now gone up to £12?)
The members' allocation normally goes pretty quickly once booking opens. I've never bothered joining as I don't live in London so Monday tickets aren't much use to me, but the £35 membership is a good deal if you can do Monday regularly.

Booked front row stalls tickets to see The Kid... in the last week of its run, mainly because of Danny Huston in the cast. I used to be a RC member but wasn't getting my moneys worth (only seen three productions there in the last 18 months or so) so decided against renewing.

Most of the Royal Court Friends allocation of Monday £12 Bargain seats are sold the moment the Friends season booking opens. Many are purchased by impoverished citizens such as our resident gp.

When Xanderl says "downstairs" he means the Jerwood Theatre Downstairs, including their two upstairs levels! When he says "upstairs" he means the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs.

Yes, and the downstairs downstairs £12 seats will go first, before the upstairs downstairs ones.

Yes, and the downstairs downstairs £12 seats will go first, before the upstairs downstairs ones. Although the front central upstairs Downstairs seats are better for some productions, as xanderl himself reported in the case of ophelias zimmer, for example ...

B and Victory Condition have just gone onsale to Friends etc. and are on general sale on Wednesday at 10.00am. All the info is now on the Royal Court website. They're both in the larger Downstairs theatre, playing a short season together in October with alternating performances at 7.00 and 9.00. The only Monday performance of B is on 16 October at 9.00 (except for the press night on 2 Oct when public tickets will be few).

Eight months away! Does the Royal Court have a cashflow crisis? Or is it easier to get people to book before the other serious theatres have even hinted at their autumn programmes, let alone opened booking?
