Stiles & Drewe's brilliant musical take on the Cinderella story will run at the New Union Theatre from 23rd Nov - 22nd Dec 2016.
Apparently this is a new, updated version of the show that hasn't been seen before.

Where is the info about this? Can't see it yet on the Union Theatre website. May be able to squeeze this in for a matinee when I go in December. One of, if not the best of the Stiles and Drewe scores that I have heard.
What was the running time of the original show?

I have incredibly fond memories of this at Soho Theatre. It's a great piece with a super score (and this particular version benefitted from a tip-top cast.) I hope the Union can do it justice- I was sooo disappointed by their Children of Eden, and am now wondering what on earth they'll do to Moby Dick.

Great news. Love Soho Cinders. Saw it at the Soho theatre and also the 1 off show at the Novello which was recorded and now on CD

Wonderful news. One of the local Uni groups put this on a few years ago and I loved it, so I will definitely be booking a ticket to this show.

Brilliant. Thinking of booking for the final performance on my way through London home for Xmas (and hitting the Rent matinee the following day).
But I have waited ages to see Soho Cinders, so I am wondering if I go twice on another slot I have free.......

27th matinee. Never been to the Union. How close will other patrons be seated to me? Oh wait..now that I think of it I didn't get a seat. It's not assigned seating is it.

When you pick up your ticket you are issued a number - first to arrive get the lowest numbers and these are called into the auditorium 10 at a time to get the pick of the seats which are unallocated. So you can sit where you want next to whoever you want! It is very 'cosy'!! |

I dislike unallocated seating. So glad Southwark changed this policy. But I'll endure it for a show I really want to see.

I haven't been down there since September, back then they did have food, but options seemed to be quite limited. There's a pub literally next door, though, and if you're travelling down there by tube anyway, you may find more food alternatives on The Cut and still be a 5-minute walk away from the Union. |

Yes, they're still doing food (hot now, I think, as well as bagels, etc).
Racking my brains trying to remember run time, but all I know is that I was on a train out of Marylebone by around 10.15pm, so not too late!

I caught it this past Sunday, wonderful cast all very talented, obviously a small production but I really liked how focused it was and the singing (unamplified by mics) was wonderful.
