I was going to ask, are those £5 seats (£10 in the main part of the run) likely to be okay? I guess they're really off to the side, so you get the sides/backs of people a lot, but could they be worse than that?

I am so excited about this!! Love both versions but i think this one tops it for me as the score is truly in the style of the period. Who do we think could play Burrs opposite FR?? Also trying to book tickets but its not up on the website yet....HELP?? Can't help, sorry! But welcome to TheatreBoard Ha!...Thankyou BurlyBear...This show finally convinced me to become a member of this site... GOOD TIMES.

I've also usually paid more than £5 for them too.

I can't find any of these shows on the St James website - is there a new site for the new name? Or am I just being dumb....

I do wonder what they're doing with the stage/set - I notice the premium priced seats are a bit higher in the auditorium than usual (compared to what theatremonkey suggests), so I suspect a high stage.

Ah well, booked them anyway - for £5 I'd sit on the roof.

Quite a nice quote from PTM regarding him becoming AD: "Sometimes I'm going to get it really wrong, sometimes I'll get it really right, but I hope I never play it safe. And I'm ok with that."

Couldn't resist those £5 tickets and I booked too. Still think that Frances Ruffelle is miscast, too old for the part and the plastic surgery hasn't done her any favours.
I love the Broadway version and also the Merchant Ivory non musical film. Hope I won't be disappointed.

I want to cry. I'm missing Whisper House by a week as it falls right through the cracks between two London trips next year. I'm a huge fan of Duncan Sheik's work and love the concept recording of Whisper House. Argh, out of spite I've now booked a £10 seat for Wild Party.

Hate the new name (what was wrong with the St. James Theatre?), but the programming seems interesting. I don't know Michael John LaChiusa's work at all, but may give THE WILD PARTY a go, as he seems like a composer I would like (plus I LOVE the poster art). In two minds about WHISPER HOUSE. I am interested, but not enamoured by the music I have heard.

Really do not like the new name and hate the artwork. Is that what passes for 'hip and cool' now?

George Maguire angling for a part perhaps? linkYou'd think he'd pick a song from the version by the right composer if he was.
