Last year I bumped into Julia McKenzie while she was going to Drury Lane to rehearse for the Hey Old Friends! concert and when I saw her I lost my words and muttered something idiotic like "you are my favourite Sally in Follies". And she looked at me and said "well, I bet you say that to all the girls". Love her so much, I wish she might consider playing Hattie in this revival. Why is that woman not a Dame?? |

One of life's greatest tragedies is that Julia McKenzie never played Rose in Gypsy.

Love Julia McKenzie. Love Kathryn Evans. Saw the latter as Rose in Aspects a million years ago, and as Sally in Follies at RFH. Blinkin marvellous!

As has been said on other threads, its almost unheard of for shows to sell out at the National. Assuming you get membership you will have no trouble getting tix.

I reckon booking for this will open in the spring, Angels is booking January and that season will go to May/June. So March/April would be my guess.
