Entry pass tickets have gone up to £7.50 and £10.00 as well So they have! They replied to someone on twitter saying they announced this in Jan (along with the fact that they're doubling the amount they put on sale) but I appear to have completely missed it. Glad I checked before sending them a passive-aggressive tweet I mean, it's hardly breaking the bank but I feel they could've publicised that to EP members a bit more.

Slightly OT here, but when will the National announce the same info for Pinocchio? I'm guessing not for another 2 or 3 months now?...(he says answering his own question)

Did they reply with the date for the Entry pass sale?

Can you explain what entry pass is? I'm dying to get tickets and want to know what early options are... It's a way for anyone aged between 16-25 to get dirt cheap tickets for shows at the National! Previously £5 for yourself, £7.50 for a friend. Now up to £7.50 & £10 respectively. As mentioned by someone before me, they usually go on sale the Wednesday before the public booking opens on the Friday. And they sell out pretty fast - thought the NT have sometimes been known to add some more as the run goes along, or for occasions like being in the theatre for the NT Live screening once they have their camera positions sorted. They have recently just doubled the amount they put on sale too! If that's you, check out: www.nationaltheatre.org.uk/entry-pass Thats amazing, thanks for all the info! I've signed up - do we get notification that they're coming on sale? It says that I'm registered when I completed the form though so all ok I think...

The membership is activated the day after you sign up, and you should get a bit of paper through the post that is your entry pass 'card' as it were. Unless they've stopped those, because I've never needed to present it and it's all done online, but it's nice to have. Although completely contradicting myself, maybe you need it if you use it for discounts in the shop/café etc, I can't remember! Either way, yes you absolutely do get emails with all the info you need before they go on sale!

Absurdities of life - when I was 16-25, I couldn't afford a trip to London (or get a UK visa, for that matter); now that I'm (well) over 25, I can't afford ticket prices for the middle-aged. Woe woe woe!

Do American Express card holders still get early access to tickets? I think these will usually be limited to the more expensive tickets though

Do American Express card holders still get early access to tickets? I think these will usually be limited to the more expensive tickets though That used to be the case - it was just a reserved allocation of top price tickets - but now you get access to the full range of prices. In some cases they seem to have released some cheap seats just before Amex booking opens. Regarding the end date - the brochure says "Further dates to be announced" which normally means it will continue into the next booking period.

Booking period confirmed. OK. Is anybody else disappointed in the overall lacklustre casting?
