Would really enjoy seeing Matt Cardle reprise the role of Huey. I'm sure that I'm not the only one who was a bit sceptical when they announced him (not having any musical theatre background) but he completely proved me wrong and I thought he did an incredible job, he certainly boosted tickets sales!
I would also love to see Rachel do the tour, she was absolutely incredible as Felicia!

Also after seeing Jon Robyns in Legally Blonde I'd have been quite interested in seeing him as Huey. I've made my status as a fan of his known before, but really he was excellent in the role. I'd love to see him back for the tour, as I'd wished they'd just promoted him after Killian left (although I understood the need to stunt cast, and actually really liked Matt Cardle too). If they brought back Rachel John as well and stunt cast a smaller role on tour then my life would be made. Not sure there's really much chance of that happening, especially now that Rachel is going into TBG in London at the end of the year, but still... I can dream! Isn't TBG starting in July? And only for a limited run. I'm pretty sure she'll be free for the tour starting next year? |

Ohh yes, you're right. I had it it my head that it opened in November! No idea why! I'd LOVE for her to tour with it!

I wonder what's going on with this? It all seems quiet. We did have word on here that it was being pencilled into venues next year but nothing since and i fear maybe it's been scrapped.

Haven't heard any news on this for a while...I fear it may go a similar way to the Once tour. Venues pencilled in, industry insiders saying it will tour, for nothing to happen. Keeping fingers crossed though. Missed Memphis in London so had been looking forward to it touring!

Agreed! I used to love that Broadway recording, but the West End production was just on another level! Honestly, a Memphis tour would MAKE my life! I'm not normally one to rave about things, but this show was just everything to me! |
