This really was very silly indeed and extremely entertaining! Injury has forced me out of the Great North Run tomorrow so I needed a pick up and this did it perfectly. Completely over the top and played to the hilt by a very talented cast. Loved it!

Well, this show leaving today has made me feel rather sad.
Especially as the next show on is Caroline Flack in Crazy for You.
That's real horror, right there. Far beyond anything Dr Franken-steen could create.

I really didn't enjoy Crazy for You at all a couple of weeks ago. However after reading all the recent posts on here I think I will have to head to Young Frankenstein when it's in London.

Just walked past the Garrick and it's nice to see they're doing a '3D' FOH sign, rather than one of those flimsy sheets.

Well, this show leaving today has made me feel rather sad. And me too. The final show on Saturday was definitely the best of the run. The cast played every line to the max, and the comedy was at its highest, and the audience loved every moment. I really hope this goes down a storm in the West End, as the cast have put so much into making this work.

Never seen the film but loved "The Producers" so used my todaytix credits for a seat at the first preview in London.

As for the musical numbers: Act 1 The Brain - Frederick and Students Please Don't Touch Me - Elizabeth, Passengers and Crew Together Again - Frederick and Igor Roll In The Hay - Inga, Frederick and Igor He Vas My Boyfriend - Frau Blücher It Could Work - Frederick, Frau Blücher, Igor and Inga Hang Him Till He's Dead - Kemp and Villagers He Vas My Boyfriend (Reprise) - Frau Blücher Welcome to Transylvania - Kemp and Village Quartet Transylvania Mania - Igor, Frederick, Inga and Villagers Act 2 He's Loose - Kemp and Villagers Listen To Your Heart - Inga Surprise - Inga, Frau Blücher, Igor and Entourage Someone - Hermit Puttin' On The Ritz - Frederick, Monster, Inga, Igor and Company Deep Love - Elizabeth Frederick Soliloquy - Frederick Deep Love (Reprise) - Monster Finale Ultimo - Company So they cut Life, Life? Disappointing -- one of the better songs! I also was a bit upset not to see Life, Life in there, but it actually makes sense as it was the only "serious" song and scene in the Broadway production, (just as the monster creation scene was in the film). All the others are comedic, or at least in context of the show, and I guess they're trying to keep it a "comedy musical" like The Producers. I am so glad to hear that this has opened so brilliantly in Newcastle, let's hope it can keep the same success in London! I need to get my tickets already!

Busy day of promotion today all round, Ross and Lesley on ITV this morning and then Ross on Radio 2 this afternoon. I didn't see this morning's show but the radio promo was great. He is really good at this kind of thing and comes across very well.

So is Life cut? It wasn't on the song list, but there is footage from what looks like the staging from the Broadway production in the trailer? (The rising platform).

The rising platform is in this production.
I listened to that song on you tube and don't remember it from Newcastle but they've been doing further rehearsals since so perhaps it will come back.

Not sure if it's already been mentioned but it's been decided to do £25 day seats from ten am each day.

I'm going to give the £20 student dayseats a go for this Saturday, hopefully the matinee. Will report back if very busy (which I'm hoping it won't be just yet).

It hadn't, well done shady23 . They were still debating yesterday afternoon. Students get in for £20 as well.
Also a Todaytix lottery for £20. I couldn't see the lottery on TodayTix. Has it started yet?

Just wondering if anyone could lend a hand to explaining what counts as student ID. Just had a look on the VUE cinema website and they said university ID cards will be accepted at manager's discretion. I would have thought that would have been the best thing to bring, no?

The booking website shows there are 2 performances on New Years Eve - a Sunday! 3pm and 7.30pm. Rather a nice way to spend the evening ...

Anyone know the orchestration for this production? Not sure if it will be exactly the same in London but in Newcastle there was a nine piece band. Musical director/piano Drums/percussion Bass Violin Trumpet/Flugelhorn Trumpet Trombone Flute/clarinet/alto sax Clarinet/bass clarinet/tenor sax

The Todaytix lottery was there when I looked yesterday, not having previously checked. So must recently have been added. Thinking of giving it a go but nowhere could I find any info re where the seats would be, whereas for some productions Todaytix and/or the venue's website gives the location, eg front row for Dreamgirls. Does anyone know, please? I'll factor this in when deciding between the lottery and any other method, eg TKTS on the day.
