Saw the show yesterday Emma Louise Hoey was on as Lizzie instead of Lauren Drew, overall I'm glad I saw the show the audience appeared to enjoy it. But a lot of empty seats.

Saw the first preview of the new run today after happening to be in Manchester for a very well timed work trip (I had a very eclectic two show day following the matinee of Burlesque). I enjoyed it almost as much as the first time around, I thought they did a great job- there were a couple of small line flubs and missed cues, and a missing microphone at one point (for some reason they didn't switch to the head mic so some lines were lost), but nothing beyond what's usually expected for a first preview.
Kayleigh McKnight's voice is stunning. Jen Caldwell was a standout for me as Bridget, partly because I really wasn't a fan of who I saw in the role the last time around. There's definitely room for the cast to grow more into their characters, it's a shame I won't have the chance to catch it again in Manchester.
Looking back at older messages from this thread- the comments about Lauren's lack of chemistry towards Maiya confuse me- Lizzie definitely doesn't feel as strongly towards Alice as Alice does towards her (as I interpret it), so I think that this was an intentional acting choice.
Any how, keeping my fingers crossed for another London run

Just saw this tonight at the Hope Mill Theatre and it was amazing. I liked it at SP E&C as well but appreciated it more the 2nd time around. Definitely wouldn’t mind seeing it again.

I watched the show on the final matinee yesterday, and honestly? I wish I had saw it earlier in the run because I wish I could go see it again with the same cast. I live in Scotland, so unfortunately Manchester isn’t exactly next door. If it comes back to London, I would definitely go again.
The cast was top tier and the source material translated well. It really felt like you were in a rock concert at times.
It’s now up there for one of my favourite musicals, my number 1 musical is Jesus Christ Superstar, so that most likely explains why I loved it so much.
