I hope so but recall it hasn’t happened like that before. I still have June 5th officially! It’s been back on sale since we knew that wasn’t happening. I think similar happened with other LW shows too No email yet but now showing a new date (27/07) in my booking history. EDIT: just got my email Just got mine too - 27/7, same seats. Absolutely delighted! Can't wait to see the new version!

I'm going to be paying particular attention to the orchestraband and will report back. If it's rubbish, I'll be sure to eat my slice of humble pie.

By rights it should be filmed on an old vhs camcorder in the spirit of not moving forward, on a tape you’ve used 200 times before.

Amazing that people find these fake Twitter accounts so hilarious... Amazing that people don't get satire...

People are well aware of satire, but it has to at least be funny and original, not just a rehash of what has already been said (ad infinitum). I liked the one with the little kids keyboard. That was funny.

Joking aside, it's refreshing to see so many people being vocal about the changes, sticking up for the musicians and generally showing their outrage on Twitter. It generally feels like the consensus here is like CM do what he wants and applaud him for it, where as people seem to be a bit more emotive and defensive over there.

What is and isn't funny is subjective, I guess. That said, the ALW-bot seems a very poor attempt to mimic WestEndProducer. This kind of stuff ages so quickly, particularly if the owners/initiators don't have the creativity to be fresh or different. I did like the tumbleweed.

I found this a very upsetting read. Just think of the send-off that he and Ellen Jackson were imagining they would have after years of service (and not once ever delivering a subpar performance or doing acting by numbers)...only to be dismissed by an associate and not either of the two bosses. And then kept in the dark about the plans like everyone else. His love for this production shone through this interview, particularly his commitment to safeguarding the legacies of the original creatives, which are now being junked as Cameron remakes this show in his image. Some of the best performances I ever saw in that production were actually while Griffiths was resident director. It's just so very sad...and meanwhile the producers are still spouting the 'bigger and better!' nonsense elsewhere.

Might have been a good way of adding some legitimacy to the new production if they could have got a well established, much loved performer such as Philip to come back and endorse it
