i think he is quite boring to watch, and not a spectacular voice either, so i am always hoping to see Matt Blaker whenever i see
the show
but as i mainly aim to see Harriet as Christine, i always "have to take in stride" whoever is also playing
any rumours who could be new Phantom?
how about a new principal Christine? is Celinde staying again ?

Another 100% disagreement. I see the polar opposite to what you describe in Nadim: someone who can act, with a classy, proper singing voice. With Nadim's Raoul, it's a love triangle. With many other Raouls, Raoul is a third wheel. Proof, as ever, that theatre is all about individual tastes! |

oooh, a new Phantom? exciting! now please give me a new Raoul as well, need some fresh blood in this role, Nadim is not really my thing 100% disagree. Nadim is the only person Ive seen completely understand Raoul and give it a fresh, almost innocent approach. Looking forward to a new Phantom. Elf starts in Plymouth 11th November. So my guess is BF will leave early September for time off into rehearsal Oct. Infact last key cast change was first week of September 2015 so that week 2017 is when the the contract runs out and new principals join. Edit: BF last performance is Saturday 2 September I'm with you. Best Raoul we've had in years. And will be missed if and when he is no longer in the role. |

Every time I see the name Matt Blaker I can't help but think of (formally Blue Peter, now The One Show's) Matt Baker.

Im semi expecting Matt Blaker to step into Phantom or Raoul for a short run, maybe 6months, as he's been understudying and on as both quite a bit lately. Half wondering if they'll bring any of the cast over who should have opened the failed run in Paris. |

Saw Nadim's tweet earlier that he's leaving the show at cast change along with Ben and Celinde. Can't say I'll miss those two, but Nadim's Raoul will be a big miss. I have only really cared for his Raoul over the last few years. I'm pleased for him though, as he said he also tweeted that he has got another job lined up for autumn.
It won't be Matt Blaker - he was announced in the international Jersey Boys that's going out. And Luke McCall tweeted yesterday 'I wish' when someone asked if he was taking over as Phantom!

Phantom is not one my favorite shows - I know, heresy - so I don't follow it much. But, I did not know that Celinde Schoenmaker was so drop dead gorgeous.... she can sing a bit, too.
