I am glad I saw this before that cringe worthy curtain call.

Oh no, they must need the publicity badly.

I can't match, or even add to Theatredust's excellent post so will just say that I day-seated for the matinee today (no difficulty getting a ticket even though I was unable to reach the theatre until 11.15 am) and found this play well worth seeing. I could fault the plot for being melodramatic and piling on the agony, but it was still riveting and the auditorium looked full to me.
Btw, those day seats at Wyndhams are not only great value at £22.50 but must be some of the best front row seats in London as for this production at least, the stage is low and assuming there is never a row forward of row A (looked unlikely), there is a reasonable gap between the seats and the stage. Only for Book Of Mormon can I recall this being better and that was due, I think, to the orchestra pit.

Went to this recently. The dayseats also go on sale on the DF website for slightly more but I got 2 through Todaytix for £17 each - so a bit of a discount. So worth checking on the day.

That's a good suggestion, bellboard27; don't think it would've worked for me as I had to leave home before they'd have gone on sale and doubt I could have got a reliable connection while travelling, but for those who have the time and no internet access issues, this sounds ideal.

I saw this on the last day, matinee. Blown away by it, thought it was beautifully done! Thanks for the heads-up, might have a look for another ticket.

Well didn't see that one coming, but I gather it's taught at A level these days which may help explain it's return ?

The Playhouse is fast becoming the go-to venue for GSCE/A Level set texts:
1984 An Inspector Calls The Kite Runner
Maybe it's the proximity of the tube, helps herd the school kids...

I missed it earlier too and am quite keen to catch up. Do we know if the original cast will be reprising their roles at the Playhouse?

I saw this on the Saturday matinee show and thought it was excellent. The Playhouse is a nice theatre, good seats.
