My afternoon entertainment in Cardiff, got a 20 pound ticket when the box office opened this morning. Row A of the first circle. One of the rare people that loves this show, saw it with Nathan Lane in New York , LA tour , Sydney Australia, now Cardiff.

Saw this on Tuesday after seeing it in the WMC on the first tour, found it quite forgettable and it still didn't set my world on fire. I think the issue with it for me is that not never gets going and there's not really any showstoppers. For an opening, When you're an Addams is quite laid back for an opening I feel. It also feels very drawn out. The cast do their best but I also just don't find it very funny. |

I had one if the dreariest afternoons at a show ever when this toured the first time. It sounds on paper like it should be a really good time but it’s not. Staggered it got a second tour.

I did like Full Disclosure. I don't know wether the band were having an off night but it just lacked oomph. And the trumpet player in the opening was awful - unsure if it was intentional or not but there were a lot of split notes.

I’m not sixty but I did get a seniors ticket at the box office , lovely young lady sold it me when I asked about discounts. As for the show, wow nearly rewritten from New York. I do love it, it’s just fun, it’s that simple nothing earth changing, but two and a bit hours of fun.
I am disappointed that Where Did We Go Wrong got cut in the shuffle. I had to stop myself from going straight back again Friday night. Saw Ghostbusters Afterlife instead.

I'll be in Cardiff Friday evening and will try for a cheap ticket at the box office. They used to offer standby which as I recall was best available for lowest tier price but the New Theatre is under different management now. I wasn't blown away when I saw Addams Family on a previous tour so don't want to pay up to £50. Doesn't seem to have sold well at Cardiff so far. the entire tour isn’t selling great to be fair, with the Bristol dates cancelled (hence why I’ll try for Cardiff to see it before it’s gone).. I saw the show in 2017 but can’t remember too much about it, would be nice to go again if you could update on any cheap ticket success, I’d be very grateful . No joy at the New Theatre tonight. I asked at the Box Office at 6.15 initially about the standby tickets and was told they no longer do them. Then I asked if there were any reductions on prices at all and the answer after a quick look online was no because it's Friday.I had a look online and barely 100 seats are sold for tonight's performance but if it's their policy not to discount fair enough. |

Who’s is the tour? Is it Aria again? There’s no shame in whacking a Travelzoo offer in there or even papering it. That way the theatre get their drinks/snack sales etc, the actors get a responsive audience, who in turn get more atmosphere. Above all else the magic of theatre gets to live on rather than a cynical can’t be arsed attitude be it from apathetic box office or a production company that have given up on their product. So sad.

I’m sur3 the box office staff are under instructions but holy moly, 100 seats sold on a Friday night? it’s only on stop 2 of a 20 Theatre tour, somebody needs to pull their fingers out.

Next February the Addams Family tour visits Wimbledon, Dartford and Bromley in successive weeks. That's going to be a really hard sell as all three venues are within about 12 miles of each other. Most shows visit either Bromley or Dartford and when both are included in an itinerary I've never known them to be one after the other.

I’m there tomorrow to pick them up / pay in her name, no clue where I’m sat but at least I’m not paying full price |

Along with Aria, the tour is co-produced by Music and Lyrics, which is that consortium of receiving houses. I don't think HQ/Trafalgar is a member, so in that respect the New Theatre doesn't have skin in the game.

Act 1 has finished, couldn’t entirely remember the story from when I saw the tour the first time hence why I’m back.. I really do love the set, costumes and casting for this show but the plot itself is just meh and drags out in some places

Cardiff last week and Sheffield this. I always like to see how many trucks arrive, and this is a three-er, plus a specialist flying contractor.
Evenings have sold quite well, with even the balcony open at some performances. The two mid-week matinees less so.

It’s not even a week since I saw it, but who flys? Or am I mixing up terms. I felt like fester should have when he had the rocket but he didn’t the night I saw it in Cardiff. He just ran off.

I assume Paul means flying contractor as in for set pieces that move .. no? The original tour had a miniature Fester puppet on a string that would move across the backdrop, unsure of why it was cut for the second tour as it’s quite funny to see |
