Currently listening to the concept album of 'Aida' and realised one of my favourite songs from the album, The Messenger, isn't actually in the show anymore (at least the productions I have seen didn't include it).
Also like 'The Lady's Got Potential' from Evita. While it didn't make it to stage, it was included in the movie.
What are your favourite cut songs?

It might have been in the original run but its not been in any of the versions I've seen.

'Bring on the Men' from Jekyll and Hyde - it's on the concept album but not the OBCR, although it is included in the current MTI licenced version of the show.

I really enjoyed Give Up Your Dreams when listening to the School of Rock OBCR recently (loved the whole score, really), was a bit gutted to find out it was cut quite early on in the run!

Yup, agreeing with anthony here... It was cut from the Craig Revel Horwood production. It was also cut from the original UK tour back in 1990 and then the version which toured some venues in 1996. Guess which three versions I've seen.... |

This probably doesn't really count considering it was brought back into the 1987 Broadway and subsequent productions, but "I Don't Care Much" from Cabaret.

Happily Ever After, cut from Company. Bang! cut from A Little Night Music Yeah, there's also a song sung by the character Frid in A Little Night Music. No too sure if it's the same some to which you're referring or something else. |

Recently I have enjoyed the Waitress soundtrack. I love the song 'Door number 3' which was sort of cut/reworked into 'what baking can do'. I do think the new song seems to fit the theme of the musical more but I do love door number 3 also!

It was in the amatuer version I saw and I am pretty sure the Marti Pellow tour (though maybe I confuse myself because I listen to the various recordings I have of J&H so much that I often hear that song). |

I have never see The Argument that was recorded for the original concept album of Chess performed or included in any production.

I also miss 'Do The Sacred Mass' that was eventually dropped from Sister Act. Also prefer the original 'How I Got The Calling'.

I always thought the world was robbed of Julie singing say a prayer for me tonight from my fair lady. It was recycled for gigi but for a hint of what we missed

It's funny, I grew up listening to the original Evita concept album so I always assumed "The Lady's Got Potential" just got cut from Broadway, not West End too. I love that song especially the revised movie version.
Hamilton originally included an extended rap tirade against John Adams, which they cut since Adams doesn't appear as a character in the show, but it's still awesome:

I know they never fully got it to work narratively, but Now That I've Seen Her from Miss Saigon is an excellent song, and Maybe isn't a patch on it. I also really like Too Much For One Heart, cut from the original production, though Please is a good replacement as it advances the story more.

Not a cut song, but cut lines from the Rainbow Tour in Evita: The original has Eva singing, "Did you hear that? They called me a whore. They actually called me a whore!" And a sea admiral replies, "But Signora Peron, it's an easy mistake, I've had that trouble too. I'm still called an admiral yet I gave up the sea long ago..." This was all interspersed and followed by gorgeous bits of string work from the orchestra. It was shaved when it got to the stage. Strings disappeared too...  |
