Just booked and used the last of my batch of subscription tickets. This is the only Sondheim musical I have not seen so really pleased I finally get the chance to see it.

This is the version Nathan Lane expanded for Broadway in 2004, and Sondheim wrote extre songs for. It looks like it's only been staged professionally in the UK once before (?) at the Jermyn Street Theatre in 2017 (SS fans will correct I'm sure). If so, in terms of seating capacity and stage size, this will be the largest UK production it's had.
It's amazing that with so many ardent fans of Sondheim in the UK this hasn't been seen more widely before (though it's not been seen widely anywhere really).

Bit worrying this is in the hands of people who did Whistle, which was appalling (fun thanks to Alex Young, but appalling)
Nice to tick another one off the list though

Yep. I'd like to see The Frogs but not under this director.

I loved Whistle. It's the only production I've seen that almost works. Succeed was a disaster though.

Exciting that SP is hosting another seldom done musical (I loved those years of Grey Gardens, Side Show, Grand Hotel etc) and nice to tick Sondheim show off (now kicking myself to not have made the effort for Pacific Overtures as that won't be coming back anywhere anytime soon..!)
Not thrilled that it is the same team who did ACW, but Kevin is very fun casting who I think will be great and maybe they will do a slightly more traditional production rather than try and shoehorn in a 2024 lens that ultimately muddles up a show? One can hope!

Just got this e.mail from Southwark Playhouse.
We're looking forward to welcoming you to The Frogs next year, and are just getting in touch to let you know of an update to your ticket booking.
There will be an update made to the seating plan of the auditorium, which will mean your seat number will change.
You will therefore be issued a new ticket. Please note that the box office will be transferring your seat into a similar position in the new seating plan, and they will honour your original seat choice as closely as possible. So if you were in the front row or on an aisle, you will still be in the front row or an aisle, however your seat number may change.
We will be re-issuing tickets over the next couple of days. Please discard your old tickets as they will no longer be valid. Please reach out to us if you have not received your new ticket by Friday, or if you have any questions or concerns.

They didn't send me that email at all, just an email this morning to say I would soon be receiving my tickets, then almost straight away an email with tickets attached (different seats from the original ones)

Seems to be a disruptive change as they have apparently suspended bookings, you currently get a somewhat confusing message of "We are sorry but we cannot find the event you are looking for."
Yet to receive my email .....

I also got emailed a new ticket today but didn't get the explanation. Thank god for this forum. I'd have been very puzzled otherwise!

Another here without the explanatory email but only the new tickets.
Would be nice to see the revised seating plan to judge whether the reassignments are acceptable...
UPDATE: 23 & 24 May have re-appeared, so it is possible to check the seating plan again. I seem to have been moved from aisle seats to non-aisle.
