Couldn't find a thread for this, not really sure where to put it so apologies if I'm missing something.
This is the first of these events I've gone to, last night at The Lyric. I usually avoid concert versions of musicals, partly because of the crowds they attract and partly because I always feel like I could just be at the real thing!!
However, with a lineup like this had, I absolutely couldn't resist! It was absolutely fantastic fun. Not the boozy, dancing in the aisles, screeching crowd I half expected, but a mixture of people all having a great night. I was totally wrong.
I've added what I remember as the set list below, very likely I'm missing something BUT highlights were Natty Ong doing a fantastic Regina George and Jon Robyns doing the Monster Mash. Yes, no matter what happens in my life, I've seen Jean Valjean doing the Monster Mash. The life goal that I never knew I had. He was so into the spirit of things, it was wonderful to see. Every performer was giving us more than our money's worth, including the dancers, and in particular Sally Potterton on electric violin who was unbelievable!
