That’s a bit cryptic. Don’t JST pay their actors?

People who are happy to work for £3.55 a week I guess I would be most interested to see this backed up with more information.

It's fringe theatre. They're not bound by the usual London rules and can pay terribly (Menier is the same).

It's fringe theatre. They're not bound by the usual London rules and can pay terribly (Menier is the same). All productions at Jermyn Street Theatre are 'professionally made professionally paid' in line with Equity agreements or higher. Considering the size of the venue, surely they should be applauded for that, rather than derided? If only all fringe theatres could say the same.

Thanks Steve
I'm never convinced by bald statements of seeming fact that include the phrase ‘I guess’ .

Well that's good for them. I know people that had worked for them previously and we're essentially paid very little. Glad to hear they've changed since then.

This is a co-production with Reading Rep, and on there 28 Jan-8 Feb. Not a theatre I've been to before but more accessible now with the Elizabeth Line. www.readingrep.com/the-maids/ ( BurlyBeaR maybe Reading Rep could be added to the title?)
