Thanks for this link. I know I attended the 2018 concert but I couldn't remember anything about it apart from Damian Humbley singing Franklin Shepherd Inc. so it's nice to see which other numbers I enjoyed at the time!

Great cast but difficult for me to get to the venue

Are the production team likely to have more than 3 minutes to soundcheck this because it sounds great on paper?

I’m potential looking at this event and never been to the AP so for folk who have been before which of the cheaper seating (rear stalls and circle) would be best or would I be better spending more for a more closer to the stage seating? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I’d definitely suggest being sat as close to the stage as possible in this theatre. It is atmospheric but a bit of a barn.
I sat in the rear stalls for Treason and it was way too far back. These seats seem to be priced quite high, I assume because of the rake.
By contrast, the front stalls have zero rake and you are playing a lottery with not having a tall person sat in front of you.
I’ve bitten the bullet and booked after seeing Jack Wolfe smash it yet again last night in N2N. I opted for side front stalls, on the aisle so that I can shift the chair (it is a chair, like the kind you get at a wedding!) to get a clear view if needed.
It’s a crap location, crap space and annoyingly expensive prices with little chance of reductions (Alex Parker productions never seem to) so I just went for it. I do expect the outlay to be worth it though.

Thanks for the venue information capybara. It is much appreciated. I've ended up going on Row G (side stalls) for the Sunday show. Hopefully the view from my seat won't be too bad.

Looks like some reductions have started for this. A large chunk of the rear stalls for the Monday show were changed from Band B (£67.95) to Band C (£45.95).

Thanks. Booked.
Those are the seats I had my eye on, as the wonderful Theatre Monkey recommends them! He advises row N, O or further of the stalls as that is when the rake kicks in.
As its a concert with a screen, I am happy to be further back, elevated (so to speak) and not paying megabucks.

Not selling very well on Monday. Anyone knows if they usually do last minute discounts/papering at AP?

Not selling very well on Monday. Anyone knows if they usually do last minute discounts/papering at AP? Alex Parker famously does not discount. I've booked for Monday already because of this.

I think I've struck lucky here. I just followed the link and on Sunday it offered two seats in the middle of stalls row C priced £67.95 and I was able to book one of them. SEAT C15 IS STILL AVAILABLE AS I TYPE THIS. I guess they are returns but I'm sure the original price was more than this.

I've got tickets for this tonight, but it's going to be the journey from hell. I need to decide if I want to go or not.
Any ideas on the setlist?

If you search online Sondheim on Sondheim original Broadway Cast Recording I would think that will give you a good idea (unless it's been dramatically changed).

If you can get the London underground the W3 bus stops almost outside the venue and is only about 10 minutes from Wood Green on the Piccadily Line or about 25 minutes from Finsbury Park on the Victoria line. I'm on my way now from Kent, longer journey time due to engineering work around Bromley South so left earlier than I would have on a weekday. Hope whatever you decide is right for you, I've had a similar dilemma a few times but have always decided that if I've got a ticket I'll go and never regretted that choice.

Just got here and already in a bad mood - the website and the ticket have different start times, so that’s cool… 🙃 Thankfully early to get a drink with a friend.
Secondly there are no functioning toilets except portaloos about 10 mins walk away (under the rain). Not signposted either.
Sorry to be a grump, just terrible organisation.

Yup but tickets say 630… So it’s gonna mean lots of people arriving late.
