The Almeida did The Twilight Zone so I’m not surprised there’s a theatre adaptation of this. I am surprised it’s a musical though.

I agree kit66. Sweeney, Road Show, Colour P and Mack & Mabel are some of my greatest theatre going experiences - i regret not discovering John Doyle sooner, as his Fidler, Woods and Candide all sound so interesting but hey hum. Spotify is showing me two stevan Lutvak albums which im looking forward to listening to. I'll also re listen to Murder Its great to have something to look forward to |

The Almeida did The Twilight Zone so I’m not surprised there’s a theatre adaptation of this. I am surprised it’s a musical though. The Twilight Zone was absolute perfection at the Almeida. Most intrigued by this. Stories of suspense don't always work well as musicals because the musical form focuses a lot on revealing the inner feelings of characters, and slowing the action to reflect on things, neither of which exactly lend themselves to a subject like this. As a tv show I always felt AH Presents was nowhere near as good as the Twilight Zone either, but all of this just makes me more and more curious to see this. I'm also a John Doyle fan. |
