Hello all. Due to health issues, along with living in a city where touring shows are generally uninspiring titles, I find myself seeking out the pro-shots of whatever I can find. I have been generally disappointed with movie adaptations of musicals, much preferring a nicely done pro-shot. Can you kindly folk please steer me towards some good ones? I have enjoyed Rent, Come From Away, Newsies and adore the 10th anniversary pro of Les Miserables. I have a few streaming services to explore and I am currently toying with taking a look at the In The Heights movie. Thanks

Search 'Musical Proshot' on YouTube. There are loads, including unreleased ones.
If you fancy something a bit different, the proshots of both Elisabeth and Tanz der Vampire are great. There are some with English subtitles:

Hamilton is on Disney +
There are also a pro-shoot of Into The Woods (Bernadette Peters) Gypsy with Imelda at The Savoy
You may have to do some digging around but there are also pro-shoots out there of the following shows:
Grey Gardens A Little Night Music Falsettos The Sound of Music The Light in the Piazza Merrily We Roll Along Cabaret She Loves Me Titanic The Wind in the Willows 42nd Street Kinky Boots Cats Love Never Dies Jesus Christ Superstar Shrek! Barnum Company Passion Oklahoma! South Pacific Imaging This
I'm sure there are others, but that's just off the top of my head.

WOW! Thanks! These recommendations will keep me digging around for a while. Some of the YouTube stuff seems to just be an audience member holding (and wobbling) their iPhone for two hours all the while capturing the sound poorly. Not for me.

Disney+ seems to have a few things available. Any feedback on The Prince of Egypt pro? I saw this at the movies and thought it was great. Very well filmed (believe I read over 3 perfomances?)

There is also a pro-shoot of the musical American Psycho
On the National Theatre's YouTube channel you can see a pro-shoot of The Little Big Things
The concert (semi-staged) version of Bonnie & Clyde is available.
Miss Saigon has also been filmed.
As has Billy Elliott.
Somewhere, there is also a filmed version of Spring Awakening.
(I also believe) Little Shop of Horrors.
Jekyll & Hyde

Not the greatest proshot, but you also have Heathers. Another one that I enjoy is Ruthless
Great sugestions above, my favorites being Love Never Dies, 42nd Street, Kinky Boots and Gypsy.
Haven’t yet seen the proshot of Waitress, but enjoyed the show with Sara Bareilles at the Adelphi

Another vote for ‘Love Never Dies’ here, and the ‘Kinky Boots’ is good too.

Now TV tends to be good for the pro shots. They air on sky arts and now tv then has them online, kind of like Sky Arts online catch up. Although they do come and go from there. Half a sixpence, 42nd street, gypsy, funny girl, kinky boots, all the mega musical anniversary productions have been on there.
The recent Titanic tour can be bought on Apple TV, but I think only if you have an Apple US account, rather than UK.

I’ve seen the Hamilton proshot and a couple of others that have been mentioned - but the clue to adding “proshot to the YouTube search has REALLY opened it up! I’ve got Company pencilled in to look at tomorrow and then will do Prince of Egypt and keep working through everybody’s suggestions. What a treat! Thank you all so much for your help with this ❤️

It can be viewed at the V&A but the fact is, it's out there! Let's also not forget there's a pro-shoot of Sweeney Todd and Brokeback Mountain: The Opera

Just put this in the Titanic thread
'The pro shot of the UK tour is currently available to buy on amazon (digital only) for half price.
I'm a prime member though so don't know if it's prime members only, or for all.'

The Rocky Horror Show (on YT) Legally Blonde (On YT) Jekyll and Hyde is great (On YT - never really understood the Hoff hate for this tbh. Other than his 'Transformation', it was fine) Bandstand (on YT) Come From Away (Apple TV) Shrek the Musical (on YT) Naked Boys Singing Ken Hill's The Phantom of the Opera Ruthless (worth a watch!)

Here's a London 'We will rock you' version. Image isn't great, but the sound is good.
