This was a great surprise. Especially considering how sure everyone was that no one in their right mind would release tickets at 5:00 to a show that hadn't even been announced. 😁
I really wish more theatres would put their tickets on sale in the afternoon/evening. It was so nice to actually be able to get a booking in straight away and not have to take whatever's left by the time I leave work.
I've only seen SITPWG once when the NYMT did it at The Other Palace a couple of years ago. They were really good (but made me feel ancient.) Looking forward to seeing a professional production of it.

A year out I could only justify cheapest in the house so gone for that on the 20th. I'll bring my lasso to deal with leaners! I'm excited for the show more than the name, hope the hype around the name doesn't outshine it all!

Anyway I’m excited. And this is how it’s going down..(in my head). Picture the scene. I’m last in the queue at the Savoy cloakroom. The place is almost empty. I turn round and there’s Jake right there casually chatting to a lighting tech about LED.
Me: Oh, hi. Loved the show. You were great. Isn’t Sondheim genius? Jake: He sure is. I’ll tell him you said so. Love your accent by the way, are you German? Me: Err no. I’m from the north. Jake: I love the north. Maybe you could show me around sometime? Me: I’d lo... err... like that. Jake: Where are you going now? Me: Now? Like right now? Jake: Yes. Right now. Me: Back to my hotel. Jake: Which hotel? The Savoy? Ritz? The Dorchester? Me: Premier Inn. I have an Upper Crust cheddar and pickle cob waiting for me. It was a bit of a rush, I didn’t get time to.... Jake: Forget the Premier Inn. Forget the cob. Come out for cocktails with me. Or maybe a beer? You look more like a beer kinda guy. Me: whaaa...now? Jake: No time like the present. Me: What about your girlfriend? Aren’t you dating Taylor Swi.... Jake: Taylor who? Single. From right now. Me: Ok, can I just nip off for a wee? Jake: Go wee, I’ll be right here. Forever.
*sigh* 🥰😍😘

Odd that anomoly of 20 June. I think press night is Thursday 18th. Ah crap I'm booked for the night after press night then, I hate doing that! Couldn't tell which night press night was going to be from the booking page.

Ok, so tickets did go on sale tonight!
Went to buy some for opening and it seems the bank thinks I'm still in the USA and is restricting me! Angry isn't the word. Will pop into the bank in the morning.
I figured I'm going to splurge for this. I've always wanted to see this onstage, JG and AA have stunning voices and most importantly, I highly doubt this is going to get any cheaper!

Am I missing something, people getting seats near the front of the stall for cheap? The only ones i’m seeing are around £125 each!

well, this is ridiculous! I've just spent money I don't have to stare at a hand rail for £35. In 368 days time!
The good news is it's a Saturday night in June and it will be lovely!

I've gone for some stalls with a "Sunday package" (yellowish colour) which seems to include a drink, sweets and programme for £65.. waiting for the phone call to tell me they made a mistake How thick am I? Saw the Sunday package deal and as I was booking for a Thursday show didn't think the offer applied. The penny has just dropped.

I can see the yellow coloured 'Sunday package' for £115 but I can't see any for £65. Are there any of these left?

I've realised planning a year in advance, I'm asking for something to go wrong! Follies has been the only show I've booked 2+ months in advance, and after changing the booking over 9 times I still didn't catch it! No doubt it'll sell well, but think tickets won't be hard to get hold of if you have the right money. Hopefully, they do a rush ticket, but chances are slim with those!

Soooooooo gutted. At 5.30pm I had 4 amazing Dress Circle seats picked out for an early date (matinee on 29th June). They were £65 each and they were part of the Sunday package (including a mini Moet, sweet treat and programme). Just about to add to basket and then site crashed and froze and all those seats priced at £65 in Dress Circle had gone (they were there for the first preview week at £65). When I went back all those similar seats were £125 each. So either it was a mistake and they realised and rectified it immediately or lots of lovely people got complete bargains.

I’ve booked for this, and yes it is over a year away, but I am really excited. I’ve been hoping this would make it over, but was beginning to think it would never happen. I’ve splurged on this, but is a gorgeous Sondheim score, although it will be my first time actually seeing SUNDAY. I’m looking forward to Jake too. Hopefully there are no planned holiday dates.

well that was easy enough, and stress free.....probably my eight production of sunday I've seen. One of the best was in Chicago, in the studio theatre on the pier, just a mile or so from the painting itself.

I'm sure for some people it's quite helpful to be able to book things a year in advance so they know what to plan for and can book cheap hotels etc, but these prolonged booking periods are a bit of a nightmare for people who don't know when they're going to be available, but don't want to get screwed out of the best seats... I've ended up booking two dates, one pair of £65 Sunday deals (seemed the best of a very expensive bunch) and some £35 Gods seat later in the run in case I have to return the first pair. I'm really excited though, it's nice that we know it's a quality production already, we know the main cast members etc. What would have been nicer is to have not paid half my salary to be able to attend...

Which seats/dates are the £65 Sunday package ones? I can't find any. Maybe an error which has now been rectified (boo, if so, but well done to those of you who bought them).

These long booking periods are awful for me too, I have absolutely no idea what I'll be doing in a years time, I don't even know what I'll be doing after the 30th of June (job lasts till possibly sometime in late October, but no idea where or when I'm working yet). Well done for taking the plunge and getting some tickets, hope you make both, I just can't risk it, could easily be working 6 day weeks. If I ever see this it'll have to be something I buy much nearer the time or last minute like a day seat (possibly a very early start, so may not attempt it) or today tix if they do rush/lottery.
