Great news today (though probably not for my credit card which is quietly sobbing in my wallet) and is a nice way to end the week.

I am so so excited! I love Jake Gyllenhaal- guess I must be part of the great unwashed? 😉
This is beautiful production & I can’t believe I may get the chance to actually see it!

I saw this production and both JG and AA were amazing but I still find act 2 problematic. It just doesn’t make a ton of sense when you think about it. he’s the grandson in Act 2 but in some ways not...very odd

Listening to the Broadway cast recording and can’t believe how much Ashford sounds like Kristin Chenoweth (who I love).
I think I am going to LOVE this.

Very good news. With this and To Kill a Mockingbird, finally some blockbusters are being announced to tempt us next year!

I don't buy it.

The booking page seems to have been removed now, presumably because it had garnered too much attention before it was announced officially. I was sceptical, but I saw the web page myself, I wouldn’t write it off completely just because of one source reporting it.

BWW says "it was announced on Sunday.." It's sketchy.

A 16 week run means that a new show like Mean Girls could debut in October or November

Is he likely to be going to the extent of photoshopping artwork to make it look official?

I'd like to know how this man became of this news. If this is a case of accidentally coming across that page or being tipped off about it by someone who found it, it's interesting to then make out you are 'exclusively announcing' a show.

Is he likely to be going to the extent of photoshopping artwork to make it look official? YES Although...I did see an ATG page. It had no listing or any information on it but did have a Sunday in the Park with George URL.
