I love this show - it never got the love it deserved, so I annoyingly will be in attendance.

Bizarre choice. It's hardly a great score deserving of the concert format. The show was an ok way to pass two hours but not one number remained in my head five minutes after leaving the Savoy.

I thought it was lots of fun when I saw it in Manchester pre-Savoy. Rufus Hound was playing Freddy/Ruprecht wasn’t he? Can’t see Ramin in that role. The other way around maybe?

I saw this at the Savoy and couldn't remember a single song by the time the curtain fell.
So a concert seems a brave move

The Addams Family and Cool Rider at the Palladium were both excellent and near sellouts; with such a strong cast I think Dirty Rotten Scoundrels will be worth seeing and do okay business. It's very funny!
I'm not convinced that having a strong score matters greatly. There are enough people who have fond memories of shows like Dirty Rotten Scoundrels to make these concerts viable business opportunities for one, two or three presentations, which is unlikely to be the case for a fully staged run.
If they weren't making money they wouldn't be ever increasing. I wonder if anyone will ever be brave enough to restage Mrs.Henderson Presents in concert form ?

This is a great David Yazbeck score - Here I Am is one of the best comedy songs written for a musical in years!

I definitely want to go to this. I'm a big fan of Ramin and Hadley, but I'm going to keep an eye on how it is selling and see if I can get an offer. I've managed to get discounts for nearly all the concerts I've been to, as they are always so pricey!

LOVE this show, LOVE this score and LOVE the casting... except Ramin. I do love the guy but his projects in recent years have felt incredibly random and this just isn't his role (although the big notes in Love Is My Legs will be glorious)

I'm a fan of both, but that did nothing for me. Both playing it like they're still in a dramatic type musical.
Both seem miscast to me

I'd have thought he'd at least know that about the role without direction. Robert Lindsay or John Lithgow he isnt This feels like a bit of an excuse for them to perform together. |
