I assume the original cast of PPGW probably will star in the TV version. It'll probably be a big boost for the stage version which will be still be running. I assume they picked Peter Pan over Play or Comedy because it's more Christmassy than the other two.
Isn't Mischief working on a sitcom for the BBC?

Peter Pan goes wrong will be shown on BBC1 this Christmas!! Brilliant idea! A seasonal show, so a broadcast won't hit ticket sales, but will bump up Play and Bank Robbery through association. |

Intrigued to see how it works on TV - it's such a physical play and would worry that the sense of physical risk wouldn't come across on TV. Having said that, the excerpts of Play That Goes Wrong have come over really well so I hope it's a raging success.

I wonder when this will be filmed - Pinewood Studios means almost anything is possible.
Maybe it's due to be recorded soon and that's the actual reason for the Bank Comedy Robbery break in September, I imagine this has been in the works for a long time.

I imagine it's partly the reason but also so the cast can have a break since I imagine it'll be recorded either in one night or over a few days since it's with a live studio audience. |

Yes, Pinewood as been mentioned above, filmed on Fri 9th & Sat 10th Sept with the original cast. You can apply for tickets on the BBC Shows and Tours section of the website! Brighton? Couple of hours by car, possibly not well-served enough by public transport to be worth wrestling with trains and stuff. Easier from central London, but they still recommend a taxi for the last leg of the journey.

Oh there's always a multiple more allocated than available, simply because so many people don't bother in the end. I expect it'll be a straight up performance of the entire thing both nights and they'll edit together afterwards. I doubt it's one half or the other as a lot of the set up jokes won't get a punchline in the second recording if the audience haven't seen the first half. So I'd expect roughly three hours all in of a recording, including some pick ups on the Saturday. Given the usual delay in getting everyone in and the warm up act etc - you're probably looking at a four hour evening from start to finish. |

I've applied on several occasions for the Friday Night is Music Night tickets through BBC,
I've got tickets more often than not. Also the ALW BBC shows, the final Joseph show and the tribute show some years ago. Stuff like Strictly you can't get for love nor money, but you might be ok with this. How many email/postal addresses do you have? I've applied with work address tonight, I'll do for home tomorrow.

I wonder why they are not filming it in the theatre. October/November performances would give ample time for editing for a Christmas slot in the schedules. I would have thought it cheaper to do it that way too.

I assume it's going to be a lot more elaborate than just filming the stage version if they're shooting it at Pinewood plus I assume it's going to feature the original cast who will still in be in CAABR rather than the cast who will in the stage version of PPGW |

Ah yes, I see what you mean regarding cast availability. However, part of it's success is the "amateur" nature of the staging. It does not need to be more "elaborate".

The filmed performance, of course. That is why I'm bemoaning the random draw. I have seen it on stage 11 times between the 3 productions & am already booked a couple of times for the forthcoming revival. However this filmed performance will probably be the last time the original cast perform the show & therefore I'm desperate to see it.
I once went to a FNIMN recording but I don't remember having to enter a draw, I think I just booked tickets like for any other concert. I've applied in my name from home computer & in my mother's name from work computer. A pity it says tickets are non-transferable or I'd be begging all my relatives to apply for me too!
