Just booked for Mary Stuart straight through the ATG website without needing an Almeida link so I guess public booking has opener earlier than expected...

Hmmmm. Did the Almeida get a job lot of white shirts for their London's glitzy West End transfers?

Thanks for the tip! I've grabbed a seat RIGHT at the back for a tenner, hopefully having no one behind me means I'll be able to see well enough with a little leaning.

I imagine something is lined up to replace Our Ladies in September for a limited until late December or early January. Yes hopefully you're right Jon, I'd love the latest revival of Abigail's Party to get a WE run I wouldn't be surprised if the rumoured (by Baz) transfer of Consent from the Nash gets this vacant slot between OLOPS and Mary Stuart.

Playing at the Theatre Royal Bath from 4-14th April - one of three post-West End venues (don't know the other two)

I've booked for The Lowry in Salford/Manchester in April - it's on at the Lyric theatre, the big one in the Salford Quays complex (not sure how something from the Almeida would work in such a big space rather than the smaller Quays theatre, but we shall see).

Sorry, hadn't noticed the other dates had been mentioned higher up in the thread. Bath tickets are in sale on 3rd July for members, and to the public on 10th July

Tickets for Bath are now on sale, and I've got my usual front row seat for the matinee on April 5th booked. Tempted to book the evening as well to ensure I get to see Lia Williams as Elizabeth, but decided in the end I would leave it to the coin toss!

Is there a West End thread? There are still rush tickets for tonight on TodayTix, if anyone is interested

Don't think so. Have been keeping an eye on those, can't quite decide whether to go or not, am some what off put by knowing could have seen this for £10. Plus seats look to be at the back of theatre. Oh and it's winter and involves being out late in the cold.

I'm so mad at them, there are still 7 unsold tickets on TodayTix, but if I buy one they give me U1, while if I buy two they offer me L9&10, which is a gorgeous position in the center of the stalls rather than an bad seat in the last row and with an awfully lateral view.

(edited to add) oh hang on, you can't with rush tickets. Try now though

But that's a very sound advice, thank you!

I've just tried putting U1 in my basket for you but it's gone straight to offering me L9, so try again!

Try again, just in case someone has U1 in their basket. You have 9 minutes.

I thought there were only back row stalls for this as it was all I've ever been offered, may now keep having another look. Hope you have a fab time couldileaveyou.

The back rows of the stalls for this are fine though. They've removed rows AA and BB and built the stage out, making the whole space feel much more intimate, and by the time you get to the back rows, there is no such thing as a side view. Wherever you are in the row, you're looking straight on at the full action. Plus you get the added thrill of the two queens walking past you on their way to the stage for the coin toss. So while I'm glad you finally got your row L rush seat and I hope you enjoyed the show, couldileaveyou, I can't agree that U1 is "bad seat in the last row and with an awfully lateral view."

Out of interest, is there still a bit of stage machinery that groans and creaks every time it’s used? I loved this at the Almeida, but I wish they’d invested in some WD40.

Everytime it started to move there was a lot of squeaking and creaking.

Today tixed this, took quite a while to get into this, seemed a bit wordy and knowing the play was sort of anticipating the better scenes to come also took a while to stop the excellent donmar version playing in my head. Once warmed up I like this, it's such a good play with great female roles. I was surprised at the bits people found funny and the revolve did get a wee bit carried away but JS and LW on great form. Could have done without them actually physically locking horns and couldnt make my mind up about john light, his face gives little away and couldn't decide if I thought he worked or not. Interesting ending, bit overdrawn, would have done some play pruning but nice visual end.
