Oooh i'm very much intrigued by this, will definitley be booking.
Having seen the excellent and mammoth 'Druid O Casey last year', the bar is very very high.
I think the challange for non Irish actors, is not so much the accent itself, but the embodiedment of the charater through the accent, if that makes sense. There are very particular rhythms in that type of Dublin accent from that time period. (As there would be from any other part of the world at a certain time period.) O Casey used these rhythms, idioms and turn of phrase very cleverly to paint a picture of these charaters and the world they live in. It's often said about O Casey that he makes the ordinary extraodinary, and I think he does this with the lanuage he gives the charaters. And the really great actors will use the text to achieve this.

With Delfont Macintosh, they load the open ticketing website before they load the queue. If you are really quick you can cancel the queue loading over the website and just go ahead and book. Stop your browser from doing anything else at the right time and you have full site access.

I was sitting like a lemon in the queueing waiting room for 15mins, and at 11am when it went on sale I was told I was 823 in the que. Estimated time of arrival on website is getting longer and longer! Ah well, what will be will be. This queueing is in a 'An Terrible State of Chassis' |

I totally forgot until a friend mentioned it. I joined about 1005hrs and got in straight away. I always think this queuing system is a bit iffy

Could you explain how you do this as I’m not very savvy with these things It will depend on your browser and setup, so I can't give you a full answer but I can tell you how I did it which is using Chrome on a desktop. When you get a DMT pre-sale link, it is not actually the link. It is a tracking link which redirects to a booking page, you will usually see the standard booking calendar load for a split second before it moves to the queue page. This is the page that you want. As soon as you see the calendar you need to stop your browser from sending or receiving any more information. That itself is quite easy, you just hit escape on your keyboard. Timing it is tricky as the site can be quite fast (ironic given some booking experiences). Now the issue becomes, if you get it wrong and the queue loads - you can't try again. Your browser will have cached the queue and put you straight back into there without showing you the booking page. So use a new Incognito window each time until you manage to stop the page loading. It can take a few attempts, it took me about 4 minutes to get it this morning. Once you have the calendar page, the DMT website doesn't know or care that there is a queue in place, it thinks you have full access to that page. So pick a date and book away. You need to be careful though, you cannot click back or click to another show or a wrong page, then it will realise and it will put you back into the queue and you have to start again. This works for me maybe 3 out of 4 times for DMT pre-sales. The show is on sale from at least 30+ minutes beforehand, it's just got a little gatekeeper in front, get around that gatekeeper and you are set. This sometimes but very rarely works with ATG, they use a different (and stronger) queueing system. Arrrgh! I finally got in, found the date and seat I wanted, added it to my basket, then it wanted me to log in... which put me back to the home page and now I can't figure out how to jump to my basket. (Which has undoubtedly timed out by now, but one can hope.) Anyone know how to go directly to one's basket?
And the queue is paused because of the high demand.
12:17 pm - Queue is active again... with a 51-minute wait. And I'm apparently not quick enough for the 'stop the page from loading' trick.
12:52 pm - VICTORY!! (Although I got sent to Update my account details for some reason before I could complete the purchase.)

I think the front three rows or TodayTix Rush will likely work well as long as you're not adamant about attending it in its first 3 weeks. "Juno and the Paycock" is probably more like "Farinelli," "Dr Semmelweiss" or "Nice Fish," rather than "Jerusalem," (which word of mouth has established as the quintessential vehicle for Rylance's talents) in terms of being a draw. It had a National Theatre outing with Ciaran Hinds not so long ago, as well, which will have exhausted some of its core audience too. I do suspect that Rylance will be MUCH funnier than Hinds in the role, though, as he has an infectious enthusiasm and irrepressible ability to make likeable, relatable and funny even the worst characters of history (eg Richard III). Nonetheless, despite Rylance being arguably the most talented actor in the world, moment to moment, his star appeal for those critical youthful audiences pales next Tom Hiddleston or Tom Holland, or indeed, any of the other Toms, Hardy, Hanks, Cruise, etc lol. |

It will be interesting to see how long it takes DMT to change their system to the Queue-first ATG method, now that you've published this workaround! It's heartening to see others raising their concerns over DMT+ -- I thought it was just me as I've had so many technical issues (every other time I log in it says I'm blocked, and I have to call in to get it unblocked...only for it to happen again and again).
All that said, I'm looking to forward to (eventually) booking this one as it's always a treat to see Rylance on stage.
