Are we ever likely to see a professional production of this again?
I liked the Brixton production but even that was many years after the controversial Broadway outing (does anyone know the full story of that?!)

I saw the one at The Venue (now Leicester Square Theatre). I would quite like to see it again.

Saw the original production 7 times and the tour by fiery Angel ? In 2004 . And the Brixton production which I enjoyed too wasn't sure about some of the changes though ... Was such a shame the USA production didn't. Do better I've always thought it would be good idea to take the best of the U.K. And USA production and write a new version Luke evens and Declan Bennett have gone on to huge things since the original production .
Was gutted there was no dvd of the USA production but are some nice clips on you tube
It's truly a great show with beautiful songs and deserves a full scale production mind you loved the London production s that made it feel you really were walking into a nightclub

Got the DVD. Fell asleep. I found it totally boring. Sorry! Exactly what happened to me too! Couldn't find a single thing about it to keep me interested. And awake.

Rumor online today that a revival is being planned for next year. I remember liking the show on Broadway 20 years ago and would love to see a full scale production again.

I saw that too and wondered where it had sprung from. There was talk of a revival after Boy George mentioned it at the 20th Anniversary concert last year but then it all went quiet and nothing materialised.

Both west end and Brixton performances were very immersive, with the cast performing around the venue and using the bar areas, so I wonder if they look for the same type of venue for this run?

Would Soho Place be a good venue? I would like to see it stay in a smaller venue. When it was done on Broadway not only was the show flipped around but the venue felt to be too large. A venue the size of Soho Place and its the round, to me, would be perfect.

Hopefully it will tour or show up North, travelling to London to see a show just gets way too expensive

There is a new production of Taboo with a brand new book, opening in Manchester next apparently. Possibly at Hope Mill?
