Endeavour gets my vote - it didn’t get enough recognition for how well made it was. I love rewatching the dvds. It should be streaming on ITVX, repeats currently on ITV3. Shaun Evans is brilliant as the young Morse.

ER for me. Though the early seasons look a bit dated. It’s a brilliant show; dramatic, sad, tense, and I’ve lost count how many times I’ve watched from beginning to end.

Another one for Twin Peaks here. Saw repeats on the Sci Fi Channel when I was about 14, so was old enough to get it (well, mostly…) but young enough for it to still freak me out.

I re-watched Buffy a couple of years ago and still really enjoyed it all. The first 3 series were the best in my opinion when they were still in high school. |

Better Call Saul: you might want to watch Breaking Bad before starting on this as a lot of characters from that (including Saul Goodman) show up in this too but if you’ve seen that, you will know what happens to them so a newcomer could watch this from the start and then head into Breaking Bad if you’re looking for an epic tv journey (I’m only just catching up with BCS now, just started on season 5)
There is some first rate acting and dialogue on display in both series, and the kind of storylines that the bulk of British dramas could only dream of having the imagination to come up with.
