Festival Theatre Edinburgh also posted, I believe this will be their big show for 2025. A great follow-up to Hamilton this year and very glad to see Camack & Capital Theatres' relationship continuing

New tour opens in Bristol this November running from 4th till 30th November. Tour stops in Dublin (11 Dec 24 - 11 Jan 25), Edinburgh (22 Jan - 15 Feb 25), Plymouth (26 Feb - 29 Mar 25) and Manchester (9 Apr - 15 May 25). Stefanie Jones as Mary Poppins, Jack Chambers as Bert.

Why why why have they cast two Australian performers in the lead roles instead of UK casting? I think we're all a bit 'done' with seeing the Strallens work their way through it but there must be UK performers chomping at the bit for these roles.

Cameron evidently likes them.
He bought Matt Lee over for the last UK tour so like...they're probably good.

But at least give the home-grown performers a chance first. Or even just one or the other, not both. They aren't exactly going to sell tickets based on their names so I don't see the need for it. |

I personally don't see the issue with casting people from abroad. Look how many British actors played Mary on Broadway, not to mention the amount of Brits working in Europe, Starlight express is usually about 50% British!  |

Yes because thinking we have great talent in this country that deserves a chance to shine in a limited market is the same as aggressive popularist patriotism 🙄🙄 People on here go on a lot about 'where are the British musicals', 'it's a shame XYZ isn't in more things' etc etc. Yet this for some reason has triggered some people. Maybe they are the best people for the role, but as the tour doesn't start until the autumn I doubt they've auditioned loads of people yet so it's more like an easier/quicker solution. As has been said, I'm sure they'll be excellent. Doesn't mean it's a shame some of the great actors in this country didn't get a chance to show what they can do. |

Watched media clips from them doing it in Australia, and they do seem to be excellent in the roles.
My only issue would be the accents. I feel what would pass as a prim and proper British accent and a Cockney accent in Australia is different to what would pass here.
That was my main issue with Matt Lee on the last tour. The Australian accent always came through.
