Apologies if I missed a thread elsewhere for this.
Attended the reading of PLASTERED on Saturday afternoon and it was fantastic fun.
The story is very much Little Shop of Horrors style, as it's inspired by that trilogy of films (Bucket of Blood I think? But I could be wrong there!)
The reading was great, cast was actually unbelievable, it was the cast who sold me on picking up a ticket in the first place.
The audience seemed to mostly be people in the industry, which was a good atmosphere because it was supportive and appreciative.
It's a show I'd love to see staged but not sure if there's a place for it to live, or the audience for it to thrive. On the strength of the reading though, I'd be a regular visitor.
I went because of Miriam Teak-Lee but it was Peter Hannah as Maxwell who absolutely stole the show for me.

I saw this as well and thought it was pretty delightful. Smart and funny and a terrific cast. It's goal is to be "Little Shop" and it doesn't quite get there but its a helluva lot better than "Heathers" and others of that ilk.

Attended the same Saturday performance, and agreed, I thought it was a lot of fun.
