This doesn't seem as much of an oddball choice as some others.
At least there's a reason (10th anniversary) and I actually liked it when it was at the Adelphi. There was this curious stretch of brand-new homegrown shows that all failed (Mrs Henderson Presents was another one I remember fondly).
I'd just like to know why they feel the need to use the biggest venues for this kind of thing, why not stick with something like Cadogan Hall or better yet, a venue the size of Cadogan Hall more centrally in the West End.

We know Killian can sing. Will be interesting to see how Pixie does in this. Interesting casting given how many musical theatre performers there are out there.

The one concert announcement I’m interested in, the show had plenty of fans such as me so I’m pleased it’s getting a 10 year anniversary!
Listening to the cast recording right now!

It has been selling on the amateur market, so clearly someone believes that enough people will turn out for a concert

Interestingly, this is being produced by Sisco Entertainment - company of Simon Schofield and Scott Garnham (brilliant in the original cast).

Excellent choice. Great British musical which at the time was a really fun production with a huge heart and some decent production values.
Fab score which I still listen to. Sophie Louise Dann singing In An Ideal World is stunning.
I'll definitely book :-)

Tbf Dagenham isn't a million miles away and at one performance we did have one of the women involved in the protest come to a performance. It's a decent show and I enjoy it but a concert at the Palladium is baffling to me

This was actually heaps of fun at the Adelphi and it deserved better than it got at the time - Gemma Arterton was fabulous in it.
But I just don't know as I need to sit through Pixie Lott 😂

I truly hope Gemma joins the concert at its end for ‘Stand Up’, that would be incredible (that’s where I would have some of the original cast join if they are game & available!

I saw the show for free from the back of the dress circle at the Adelphi (awful seats in my least favourite venue) and I remember very little. Gemma Arterton was predictably lovely, but I don’t remember any of the songs except the title number. And even then, I only remember there being some very forced rhymes (which I’ve surely built up in my mind to be worse than they actually are. I can’t remember the real ones so I like to make up my own. “Made in Dagenham, listening to Slade in Dagenham, I wish this show had stayed in Dagenham”).
At the time I thought it was basically a Cockney “Billy Elliott”. Sadly, I can’t stand Billy Elliott.
Ticket prices seem reasonable for this though.

I predict we'll all be able to get good tickets for a max of £20 nearer the time - don't book now 😂

Hi!
Has anyone received their e tickets for this yet? I’m wondering if I may have to pop by the box office as haven’t received anything.
Thanks.
Helen

I left at the interval, pointless I couldn’t hear half of it. Voices over powered by musicians and at one point 3 of the girls were singing around a microphone and nothing was heard. Shame as I enjoyed this at the Adelphi
