I always have two different browsers open for booking days, and WITHOUT FAIL I end up further ahead in the queue in Internet Explorer than Google Chrome. It's like they know how much I dislike using IE. Still, I got a ticket for all three shows, even though I was very limited on when I could do Belleville and have not been able to get my usual preferred seat.

Logged on at 9.57. Was 223 in the queue. Booked my tickets for all 3 plays. Much better availability towards the ends of the runs for all 3. Not many Stalls seats left for all of them but Circle was looking pretty good. That was almost 2 hours ago though.

I logged in at 9 am and waited patiently, when the queue started at 10 I was 171 and by 10:40 I had tickets to all three shows and was logged out. Not bad at all. Though my Belleville seats aren't great. The locations for the others though are fine.

Just got tickets after going out to the dentist and coming home again! Had two browsers open and still at number 127 on the other one (now closed that down). I only wanted cheap tickets and managed to get reasonable ones for both of the dates I wanted.

Fairly painless. Got tickets for all 3 shows after a bit of a queue.

Boom! All booked. All three shows. Centre stalls for all three.
I took a chance and phoned the box office while waiting in the queue and got through straight away and spoke to a delightful young man who couldn't have been more helpful. The Donmar is my new favourite theatre. I'll even overlook the Lenny Henry message at the beginning of the call.

Got all tickets easily. I actually got in the queue, went to a meeting, came back, and it was my turn...

Boom! All booked. All three shows. Centre stalls for all three. When I booked as a member last week I couldn't get centre stalls for anything, checking multiple dates, often towards the end of the run - got the 'better' end of the side stalls for all three shows. Is the Donmar now keeping tix back for public sale? In which case I might be better off letting my membership expire (again) and taking my chances on public booking days and klaxon tickets.

Judging from their last 3 shows and reviews, I may wait till Klaxon days for most of them!

I always book via public booking and always get exactly the same small block of side stalls seats showing as available, so yes it seems they hold seats back. BUT it also looks like they hold back separate stalls seats for public phone booking (see post above) because I’ve never seen centre stalls seats available on-line.

Looks like The Donmar will have to get the restraining order out for Ryan as Jonathan Bailey has been in cast in The York Realist!

Interesting. Wonder what that sold out on the basis of? James Norton?

Looks like The Donmar will have to get the restraining order out for Ryan as Jonathan Bailey has been in cast in The York Realist! Good luck to JB but this may not augur well for any transfer of King Lear from Chichester (sorry to bang on about that yet again but I will be gutted if it doesn't!)

Between Ian McKellen preferring the intimacy of the Minerva and Bailey not being the first cast member to have his post-Lear job lined up, there was never any realistic chance of Lear transferring.

Kind of a shame, as this would have been the perfect show to go in to the Ambassadors after Stomp closes. It's not masses bigger than the Minerva and would have been a great yardstick for the venue. Hopefully Belleville will transfer there instead. Exciting casting for York Realist. Need to get my act together and actually book that, since I fell asleep at the switch and didn't get round to booking Belleville before it all sold out. Will be Klaxoning like a madman for that one, it seems.

Good luck to JB but this may not augur well for any transfer of King Lear from Chichester (sorry to bang on about that yet again but I will be gutted if it doesn't!) My assumption was it would never transfer so that’s why I put my fate in the hands of South Eastern to see it (and they performed very badly I must say). In the past McKellen has indicated that he doesn’t think regional productions of Shakespeare have to be validated by a London transfer, Branagh the same, and both have played major roles outside Stratford/London. This is not the case for plenty of other actors who will only play Stratford if a London transfer is in the deal. So, I will wait for their Macbeth to transfer.

More tix released today for (previously sold out) The York Realist and amazingly, there are still several dates with tix left, especially 22 Feb. Most dates circle only but some stalls.
