If you have to issue a list of instructions I think you should ask yourself if your booking system is maybe a little bit convoluted.
Not that it matters to me though, as I've already booked both parts at Theatr Clwyd when they went on sale to take advantage of the £10 front row seats they sell. Annoyingly though one of them is only running in the evenings so will have to find a lift as the last bus back is about 6.45PM. The London transport network may not be perfect, but it's still a hell of a lot better than what most of the country's got.
Intrigued by Force Majeure, so will probably book for that eventually.

It's the sort of programming you get at places like the Bush (and I don't mean that in a pejorative sense) but they haven't adjusted their expectations on audience demand accordingly down to Bush levels. I'm pretty sure you'll be able to buy tickets for whatever performances you want for this and they'll even start emailing people like me offering them (as for Teenage Dick). |

Weird use of the term "double bill" which I would interpret as two plays separated by an interval, where the ticket price is the same as for one play. They seem to be saying this is two plays and you can only see them if you pay for both? Weird. My memory of them is that they are two plays which complement each other in that each one refers to and explains events in the other play in an almost Ayckbournish way. I can't remember if the events are simultaneous or if there is simply some time overlap. |

The normal way theatres handle this, and there have been many examples, is that they offer a discount to people booking both plays at the same time. So the carrot rather than the stick approach to persuading people to see both. |

The Inheritance and (I think?) Angels in America both allowed you to book either play or both of them.

I had no idea there is an American remake of Force Majeure ("Downhill" starring Will Ferrell and Julia-Louise Dreyfuss coming out at the end of February. Which would seem to make the Donmar's version even more of an odd choice.

The casting suggests so. The original film is most definitely not a comedy, and brilliant for it. A really knotty marital dilemma story. Downhill looks like such a misguided remake, unless they are trying to fool punters into thinking they’ve made a comedy out of it, but once in your seat they keep the psychological drama of the original...? Who knows? But it does look like that’s what they’ve done and in doing so epitomised why “English language” remakes are sometimes so wrong. What next? Rebel Wilson in Parasite? Here’s hoping the Donmar one is like the former. |

Must say however, I'm not thrilled about "a limited allocation" of tickets available for public booking. With priority booking 2 books in advance of the public, I can only imagine a very limited number of seats available for non-members.

Surely it's better that they are holding back some seats for public booking - otherwise, as you say, with only four performances it's quite possible that it would sell out completely during the members' booking period.
