Same. Would happily see Dunbar in a play, but a musical? Not so much. Am not familiar with SJB, other than seeing her name mentioned on here. (Was the same with Sutton Foster though to be fair.)

Donโt get the Georgina casting at all- but Charlie Stemp suddenly makes me consider booking

Can Georgina dance?

I think Georgina is great! I wasn't a fan of Oklahoma as a revival itself, and I think she did great with what she was given. Also saw her in Wizard Of Oz at the Curve and I thought she was bloody brilliant. Gorgeous voice, very captivating stage presence

Georgina is very talented, but isn't Bianca a dance heavy role usually? Just seems a left field choice from that POV. Mind you, sk was Adrian.

I saw Trevor Nunn's Kiss me Kate at the Old Vic. It was so much better than the film. The film does have some excellent dancing but the show really knocked me out. The Barbican offers good discounts to groups so I'm hoping my U3A group will go. If I remember Hermes Pan was the film's choreographer. I think Cole Porter came out of retirement to write this and did a great job.

Ann Miller is one of my all time favourites, an incomparable dancer.

Nigel Lindsay and Hammed Animashaun are the gangsters for Brush Up Your Shakespeare.
Very interesting they've not stunt cast these and have gone with proper actors - evidently not worried about ยฃยฃ

Is AD American or Northern Irish in this? I think he hopped across the ocean back and forth many times in that video

Having never seen this musical before can anyone tell me how big Charlie Stemps role is and if he does a lot of dancing? It will be the deciding factor whether I book or not as otherwise I'm not that bothered about seeing it.

Oh dear.

Good lord that was bad.
Theyโd have been better saving the 30p they spent on it- and not bothering.

AD is worrisome. SJB will be great as will Charlie and Georgina. Why on earth was he cast. The role is supposed to dashing.

Oh dear!!!! That has to be one of the most cringeworthy and awful trailers I've ever seen for a musical.

Oh I quite liked it!
Also, I know we are all questioning AD as Fred, but Bart Sher hasn't let us down before, so there's evidently something there that we've just not seen yet, but I trust him and think it's going to surprise us!

It's good that Bart has a much better record at doing musicals than opera, given some of the bores (in my opinion anyway) he has produced at The Met.

Canโt see Georgina flinging her leg behind her ear, which quite frankly is the only point of Bianca.
Wasnโt Zizi available?
