Stephanie is still out today. Her standby, Anna McGgarahan is on for her. Box office said Block is out “with a cold” and very kindly let me exchange for another date. No offence to her (I’m sure) brilliant understudy- but she (and Jack B) are the only reasons to see this snoozefest of a production.

Do we know if Ms. Block has already returned to the show?

I hope she's returning soon. Apppalling that there's an understudy on all this week for this ridiculous excuse for a revival of a 1940s American musical...

Was thinking about seeing this but just saw a trailer for it and it put me off. (I’m sure trailer is the wrong word and you’ll be happy to tell me about it, but you know what I mean.)

Apppalling that there's an understudy on all this week for this ridiculous excuse for a revival of a 1940s American musical... ...you are someone who goes to the theatre often enough to know this is a ridiculous thing to say. a) is it that it is appalling that an understudy is on all week? b) is it appalling that the revival/production exists? I really can’t see the connection between the two - does one statement imply the other?

People get sick, they're not robots and I'm sure SJB must be gutted that she's missing performances.

What is the daily Stephanie report? Is she on tonight? Her work ethic is second to none so she must really be poorly.

I saw it Friday night, and she was great, especially considering she was out the next day.
There’s people coughing everywhere you go at the minute, which is concerning in midsummer.

Posts removed. Discussing the fact that someone is out is fine but can we not speculate about medical conditions performers may or may not have please.

Got front row seats for this. Usually that’s fine for the Barbican. Anyone sat in Row A so far?
