Has anyone seen this yet? Sorry to be that person but wanted to know the running time as its oddly elusive on the NT website.

I went last Saturday evening. At the door, it was advertised as 2 hours 35 minutes with one interval. I had a comp ticket and when I saw the bar stools seats in the pit, decided that my back would not be able to take that. So I turned around and did not see the play.

Was going on Saturday night but just been emailed to say its been postponed owing to the "indisposition" of one of the cast.
Asked for a refund rather than a rebook.

x.com/NationalTheatre/status/1709609798021366109?s=20Very sadly Jo Martin is indisposed and has had to withdraw from the role of Denise in #DeathOfEnglandClosingTime We’re grateful to Sharon Duncan-Brewster for stepping in at short notice to play Denise for the remainder of the run, alongside Hayley Squires.

Just had the email cancelling my booking for this Saturday's matinée because of this. Grrr! As is the usual contemptuos modus operandi of the National, they have given me no option to transfer my booking to another date. They have auto-refunded, and if I can only find seats on another date in a higher price band, I am expected to suck up the extra cost, not them. Will await feedback on here now to see if this is worth bothering with.

This was excellent tonight. Sharon was on book, but still fantastic, and it’s an amazing quality of writing and acting throughout from both her and Hayley. Didn’t see the others in the trilogy but this felt very timely and important.
Sat in the barstools, which were actually cushioned office chairs. Amazing experience being in the action but I was a bit uncomfortable after a long day of work.
Looking forward to the reviews.

Awful just awful.
40 years living in East London and 35 working in the flower trade. I have never met anyone like Carly.
A total caricature of a goby, foul mouthed, stupid woman given to throwing out convoluted similes that would be awkward from the mouth of a 10 year old. It was lapped up by the audience who rushed back to Waterloo and their trains home to suburbia.
A play sold at full price where one of the two actors has not yet learnt their lines. Half the time glancing down at the script in their hand and the rest following the tv text? Postpone opening? Offer alternative date?
The audience were insulted in so many ways and get they seemed grateful.

After writing and complaining to the NT about the lack of readiness of the presentation, they have offered complimentary tickets to another show.
Shame you have to write in for this but...

I was looking forward to this but today's matinee got cancelled (when we were all already there!) due to sickness. So that's it for me, no chances to see it as it closes. Hopefully will catch a recording...

This whole cycle of plays has been blighted by misfortune - I suppose credit to the NT for trying to stick with it but I wonder if they will think in the end it was worth the effort. I've only seen Part 1 as my visit to Part 2 fell victim to Covid and I haven't had the urge to catch up on NT At Home. Maybe I will when this one makes it on there (but maybe I won't given the report above)
