I found it to be very affecting and emotional when the Hope Mill did it several years ago. I’ll never forget it.

Am personally not a fan of Jason Robert Brown’s work. And even less of Ben Platt’s… Tbh I agree with you, but Parade is the only exception and the only JRB work I really like. Also agree on Platt I like last five years but I never listen to it. the Donmar's Parade was fine but generally I'm not a fan of his work. I doubt I'll see this unless a comp comes my way #moany

Parade is my least favourite JRB (that I've seen!) but I'm sure I'll still go 😁

I listened to the cast recording again on my way into work today and Platt is beautifully restrained on it. I think the haters might be pleasantly surprised if they gave it a chance.

Any further updates on this?
I assume not the Barbican if the Kiss Me Kate rumour is correct

I don't know how 'big' this production is, in terms of the set, or staging but it worked fine at The Donmar when it ran at the time.

Other options on the table for venues I believe but not sure where.

They're very much still trying - but trying to find a theatre that's big enough for it, that has availability at the time Ben and Michaela are available is proving a challenge. Unlikely to be until 2025.

It has to be both of them. They’re both as electrifying as each other. Broke my heart and that was just on you tube.

Goodness please no to Platt. Not a fan at all of that ridiculous vibrato.

He was incredible in Parade. Caught it on my 40th birthday last year in NYC! I’d be thrilled if we got it over here. My number one musical (well, alongside 2 or 3 others).

The events of oct 7 make the show even more necessary but I wonder if it’s a bit politically contentious now too! Also I fully defend Platt in this role ESPECIALLY vocally. He really can act while singing and he has an interesting unique voice. Hope I get to see him again.
