Wouldn't see why not. Front row hasn't been sold for them either. Plus I'm in London next Tuesday and am hoping to see the show (relive being at the first show in Bath).

A cast recording has already been completed according to cast member Lauren Hood (Vera in the show) who posted a photograph on Instragram of one of the sessions, hastagging Mrs. Henderson Presents and Cast Recording. Just checked at the box office, they'll be doing day tickets at £10.00 each, 2 per person, not sure on location Mrs H twitter account tweeted last night they are £25 from 10:30am. I hope that's a mistake as it's at the upper end of dayseat price. I hope it's a case of X number of seats at £10, and then best available at £25. |

I'd hope so, too. Tenner for the front row and then best available, which might land you in the middle of the stalls at £25 sounds a fair deal. But £25 for a day seat is the priciest I've ever heard.

I thought £25 is pretty much average and found Memphis for £20 really cheap. Most expensive dayseat that I'm aware of is Wicked at currently £29.50.

I think it is because the past few shows have been £10 at that specific theatre, so therefore £25 for this is expensive for dayseats at this theatre.
Anywho, I have too booked for this evening, and am very excited! This will be the first time I have ever been to a first preview so am buzzing for it!

So the dayseat situation.
It's £25 best available in stalls and circle. Front row is likely sold in advance looking at DM site as I didn't account for removing rows for the orchestra in my previous assumptions.
Only 4 of us when the tickets went on sale. One complained to the box office as they were told £10 and it's now £25. The producers only set the dayseat price last night, hence the confusion.
I got row H seats 24/25 for £25 each. It is a bit more than I wanted, but as has been said, the last few shows were £10 front row so we all assumed it to be the same situation.
Still, £25 is acceptable imo for a musical given the prices of other musical dayseats.

Hmm, okay, thanks for the info. Admittedly I rarely dayseat for bigger musicals and for those I did, it was £20 at most.
Suppose it's a bargain when you end up sitting in a seat that otherwise retails at premium prices.
Looking forward to hear your thoughts on the show. Won't be able to see it till early May myself.

My review will be biased considering I saw it twice in Bath and enjoyed it. We'll see if any tweaks have been made.
I think Danieljohnson14 will be more fair in his opinions going in a bit blind.

Now I'm wondering whether I should have tried for a day seat instead of booking ahead and paying almost as much! But I am going on a Saturday evening as I already had a matinee booked...

Well consideinf the show doesn't start for about an hour, the theatre is already pretty busy, in the foyer area anyway.
Alot of middle aged and older people thus far it seems, I appear to be one if the younger (I'm 21).

Interval thoughts... its in amazing shape for a first preview! Barr a few hats and a curtain flying into one of the naked girls faces, nothing has gone noticeably wrong! Tracie is just sensational in this role, it was made for her! And holy crap, she must get dizzy from all the costume changes. Not overly keen on the Jamie Foreman role though, it almost feels like he is trying too hard, which I know is the role but barely anyone responds to his character. I am waiting eagerly for Emma to really get a chance to shine in Act II. Bertie is also brilliant, playing up to the gay stereotype hysterically. Full stalls, very responsive audience, very much full of alot of gays and girls lapping up every second and rightly so. Suffice to say, am already planning my next visit. |

Interval thoughts.
I'm enjoying it just as much as in Bath. I don't know if my old age forgets, but there's an Overture now which I think was missing there.
It feels a lot slicker than it was before and a few more little touches.
Front row is C as they've removed two for the orchestra.

For a first outing in London it is in very good shape. Other than a few mic cues and minor set mishaps (Mrs H broke her glasses in one scene but covered it hilariously).
There are a few reprises of songs which were not present in Bath, and the big act two ensemble number has been expanded massively (where Mrs H broke her specs) with totally different choreography.
Again the comedian character falls flat, he really has lousy material. However in the first Bath preview it was the same situation and when I returned a week later the actor had settled into the role more. Since Jamie Foreman has only just taken over the role and this was his first outing in front of an audience I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and hope he settles into it like the previous actor after a few more shows.
I hope this doesn't close early and gets support as the audience tonight seemed to love it.
