I'm surprised that this has not been talked about here, but this film is released in a few weeks time, and very much looks worth a watch.
The humour certainly seems to appeal to my sensibilities.

Has been mentioned in general threads; saw the trailer a few times several weeks ago but oddly, not again yet despite the release being closer now. I'll certainly be seeing it once booking goes live (ideally with Curzon), but no availability yet & I do check frequently as I'll aim to fit it round existing theatre bookings.

We did discuss this on the slim pickings thread as showgirl has mentioned. The preview at Picturehouse Central tonight is sold out but it is only ten days until general release. |

Saw it this afternoon, only half a dozen of us in there. Thought it was terrible. Like as bad as someone who hates musicals would expect a film about theatre to be. And I love musicals.

I enjoyed this. It's not the best thing ever but it does have some laugh out loud moments. Nice too to see Caroline Aaron from Mrs Maisel and David Rasche from Succession.

I watched it today and quite liked it. It is a little hammy and OTT but it's very charming especially if you're someone who is a theatre fan. The cast are good but Noah Galvin is the standout.

I also enjoyed it in a very empty cinema. I suspect it will only appeal to theatre nerds but if you are one, and why else would you be on this website, you will enjoy it.

Pretty grim! The last fifteen minutes were ok but the rest was so so so dull. Noah Galvin came out of it incredibly well. Everyone else? ❎

Took advantage of the National Cinema Day, paying £3 and have just come back from seeing this.
It's fun- not the best thing I've ever seen but there were some humorous moments.
It's kinda mockumentary.
Ben Platt with all of his tick and quirks had some funny dialogue in one scene he's in.
All of those kids- even at such a young age- are all primadonnas/divas and the teachers so self absorbed.
The final scenes are very funny.
BTW the full beard suits Ben Platt but the hairy shoulders.🤮

Finally saw this on Disney Plus yesterday, and absolutely adored it! Very funny, and I laughed out loud throughout. It was scathing of its subject matter, but with a big heart. I had tears in my eyes at the end too, as I found the last number very moving. I’ve had it on repeat ever since!
I also liked that this had a narrative arc, rather than being just a series of vignettes as I had expected.
5 stars from me.
