I just had a look at prices. Can only sit in stalls and they are silly money. After all it's a very niche musical with a lead mainly known within MT circles and by the looks of things there hasn't been a big rush for tickets. I'm also going to wait and if not reduced will give it a miss.

Hate to whinge but I sort of hope that this doesn't sell too well in advance at these prices. The trend for 'concerts' in massive venues that cost the same as or more than fully-staged and rehearsed musicals is starting to feel like a cash grab and it's the same circle of producers who keep doing it. Maybe they will learn that it's better to have accessible pricing from the off than to rely on a ton of discounts at the last minute, which just angers the people who DO buy far in advance.

It used to be decent prices at Cadogan Hall, but those MT concerts seem to have disappeared now. It’s just the right size and lovely acoustics. I miss seeing the concerts there.

Just had a look to see how it is selling and basically it isn't. I'd say about 90% of seats still available. The prices must have to come down surely? £128 for a concert is mad. I'd like to see this so going to wait for some offers.

This really isn’t selling well at all. All that’s sold is half the grand circle, the back 3 rows of the royal circle, and a quarter of the stalls. Yet there’s no discounts available anywhere and there’s 5 weeks to go. London theatre direct have stopped selling the grand circle entirely.
I’ve booked for the grand circle and I’m hoping to be moved further down and forward, but when would they usually make a decision to do that? I’d even buy another ticket in the stalls if it was cheap enough.

I loved this show when it was in town all those years ago. It had quite a cult following. Not sure how it will have aged as a piece though but I’m going for sentimental purposes.
I’d like to know that I’m getting more than four cast members for my money however. Was hoping to see a full cast announcement by this point. I know VHB is very talented but I don’t want her to be playing ALL the roles. X

Discounts are inevitable and I guess a lot of people, myself included, won’t book until they become available.

I recall seeing the originally at the Shaftesbury they had boarded off the back half of the stalls with black panels … and was about 60 people in tickets was £12 I think 🤔 I remember enjoying it actually it was crazy but pretty funny hazy memory of him ab sailing from the the roof and then an old western timer shuffling across the stage to great comic effect

I've heard cast members from the Shaftesbury production talk about performances where there more people on stage than in the audience.

Add me to the list of people keen to see this but waiting for a discount.
Surely, looking at that seating plan, dynamic pricing will kick in soon?!

I saw a much smaller version at... I wanna say Southwark Playhouse? It was okay, but nothing to write home about and I definitely can't see this work in a large theatre.

Yes there was a revival in southward playhouse. I went many many times in the Shaftesbury run, and yes sometimes I was one of 30 people there. It’s an incredibly funny show with great songs, it just didn’t appeal to anyone on paper. Plus it was in the “theatre of death” as it was known then. It still remains my favourite show of all time.
I really hope they do the west end score with the song changes. They surely have to announce more cast, there’s a lot of featured ensemble who have songs.

I loved the show too - managed to make multiple visits during the Shaftesbury run, including the final two performances where at least it got a great send off from an enthusiastic crowd. The show has to be played dead straight to work IMO - the cavernous Shaftesbury forced the direction (and some of the performances) into a much broader style than could be supported by the material. Really not sure how a concert presentation will work either…

I don’t have much show merch but that I loved and wish I kept it safe.

The director has confirmed to me that this will be the west end score, or “sounds most like the west end score” to quote verbatim.

I would be surprised if it didn't include the material the writers were workshopping in the US around 2019. I don't know the exact changes but I believe there are at least a couple of new songs and a few line changes. Presumably they would like to keep testing them with different audiences in the way Heathers did before it came back.

For anyone who was holding out - prices for this have finally dropped. Both on official site and Today Tix.
Decent seats for 25 quid :-)

Decent seats for 25 quid :-) I’ve already got 3rd row of the grand circle, I want to upgrade but there’s no way I’m only doing it down 1 level. Hopefully nearer the time the stalls become cheaper, although £45 to the side is tempting.

Good tip off, thank you.
Prices are lower on Today Tix than on the LW Theatre website ; from £15 and plenty of good seats including rear stalls for £25 and £35.
The seat I just booked for £35 was £53.50 on the LW Theatres website and a lot more than that when I previously checked.

Got a really cheap ticket for this. Not really sure what to expect after reading through the previous posts, but looking forward to ticking the Paladium off my list of attended venues

It’s “sold” a lot during the last few days. I say “sold”, I bought tickets when it went on sale but my friend just got a pair off seat filling for £15 each just to see if they end up being better than ours. I do wonder if all the seats have been genuinely sold.
I’m interested to see how staged this is. I guess it’s not just people stood at mics? Judging from the photos it’s not. But I’ve not been to a concert since they became the fad in the last couple of years so I have no idea what to expect. Do you get a proper set? Do they do the dialogue in between?

Last minute swerve to drive to London tomorrow and catch this. Going to see if I can find a decent matinée to pair up with it.

It’s all but sold out apart from a couple of singles now. Also, Tuesday matinee, operation mincemeat is the only one that comes to mind.
