Do we think they've closed the Upper Circle and moved people downstairs? There was quite a change to block availability over the weekend. I had hopes of a cheap ticket to see Rachel Tucker today but there was no Rush at 10am, just a lottery, and when I stopped looking at 5pm no price reductions on the official website either. There were lots of really great £50 tickets on TKTS

There were lots of really great £50 tickets on TKTS Yes, and as someone else said they would, the unsold row B dress circle seats were reduced from £70 in the morning to £50 by teatime yesterday. Those seats are £200+ at some performances. Not sure if these same reductions’ll be seen for Nicole performances but definitely worth keeping an eye out!

There's never been a 10am rush Thanks for confirming that. I only book a rush ticket very occasionally and hadn't realised Sunset Boulevard wasn't included as I think some previous shows at the Savoy have been. Will try TKTS next Monday.

Saw Rachel last night and that was perhaps one of the most thrilling stage performances I have ever seen. Incredible response from the crowd for her two big numbers and the finale.
I went in prepared to raise an eyebrow at such a stripped back production but it totally won me over.

It had been my original plan to see Rachel, but I booked for one of Nicole's after all the positive feedback on here. Now I'm wanting to see Rachel too!

Not to take anything away from the Nicole and Rachel, but I've seen six productions of Sunset and Norma;s two big numbers have always, always, received rapturous ovations from the audience. They are two of the most foolproof ALW songs and the only surprise would be if they somehow fell flat.

Can anyone confirm that they are now also selling souvenir brochures or still only programmes?

Can anyone confirm that they are now also selling souvenir brochures or still only programmes? To be honest a souvenir brochure wouldn't be very interesting as there is no set and all the costumes are black and white.

I don't really agree with that. The production images released are actually quite stunning, and if shows like Chicago can have one, so could this.

Yes, they have new souvenir brochures. £10, I believe.

Annoying that the brochures are only £2 more than the programme....!

Thanks for suggesting you know more about my lived experience than I do. Much appreciated.

Maybe the programme with come down in price now. Before it was a captive market so they could charge what they wanted

Surely Elaine Paige, Betty Buckley etc. all had similar rapturous applause for these songs? Nicole is excellent - and among my favourite - but it really has been sung by the greats. I do think of course Nicole is a major step above Glenn Close vocally (but the reason why she was so effective in the role is because she is a genuine film star and an incredible actor).

I’ve no idea why it was so affecting and impressive, but it was. I’ve seen everyone from Elaine onwards and only really EP has given me similar goosebumps.

I have never heard an audience applaud like they did for AIWNSG last week.

It felt as if, alongside the actors on stage, we were being directed to do it; that we were part of the performance too…and also the shock value of it being as good as it was. If you went in with the know-it-all attitude that ‘you’ve already seen Sunset thank you’ or just didn’t go at all in some Derek-esque misguided notion that you are punishing someone by not going, you’re right. You’d be punishing yourself.
NB-I didn’t…stand.

I felt the same, especially after the sustained note for the word ‘home’ in AIWNSG - again, not taking away from Nicoles performance.
