A Lotta Locomotion (Concept Album) has very progressive lyrics. I love that version. I will admit A Lotta Locomotion (1984) hasn't aged well but they revised it a bunch of times. Honestly, could of had witty commentary on sleeping cars and quiet coaches.

My final show of my holiday with a trip up to Wembley for this afternoons show. It certainly got off to a great start with a bit of pre-show entertainment in the form of a free sight seeing tour of North London on my way to the venue courtesy of TFL with a rail replacement service due to engineering works in the area.
As for the show itself, this visit was booked with the great offer of single seats for £29 was doing the rounds. I grabbed L53 and I was really impressed with the view from the seat. Despite it being on the fringes, nothing was missed and was close enough to still feel immersed in the show and see the cast close up. During parts of the show some of the cast even had brief chats with us sat in that area. The seat also offered a much better opportunity to fully appreciate the fantastic video and lighting design used compared to my original visit sat in the carriage seats. Based on today’s visit, I would be very happy to sit in this area again. I certainly wouldn’t want to be any further back and lose that immersive element of the show.
The show is still silly and doesn’t require much thought but is just lots of fun for a few hours entertainment with bright lights, video, pyrotechnics and a fantastic cast and band. For a second visit, I still had a great afternoon and a shout out to both the FOH team and the cast who really make sure the kids come away with some great memories of their visit.
Jade Marvin as Momma still hits the mark with the singing. Jeevan and Kayna as Rusty and Pearl on this afternoon still makes for a lovely pairing.
With the extended booking period recently announced, I’ll be making more trips to this one. A great way to sign off my London trip.

With the whole of the Met line down yesterday, and Sunday service on the overground - must have been a nightmare.

With the whole of the Met line down yesterday, and Sunday service on the overground - must have been a nightmare. Oh yes. Trains only running to West Hampstead and Finchley rd and then buses further north. Thankfully I got there in time but I think a lot of people got caught out with the number of late arrivals. On a positive the buses were well organised with plenty of TfL staff to ask for help.

Not a show you can easily come into late either.

The mixing doesn’t sound quite right, vocals too high or something. I’m going to wait until I hear the full tracks, but only I Do sounds appealing from the clips.

Recording release date delayed it seems but only by a week (so I assume no drastic changes to contents or would be longer?!).

They're repressing the LPs because a new master was made recently I believe? Not sure what they've changed though because vocals in those clips are still very loud like the Crazy and Hydrogen singles. Someone needs to have a word with the mixing engineer lol
What was the release date before? Swore it always was Nov 8 and any represses wouldn't shift that date anyways. Was under the impression that some copies have already gone out
(Correction: LPs are pressed CDs are being reprinted... got them mixed up)

Isn't the change in date because the CD is now the full soundtrack and not the highlights as previously announced?

Though by “full” assume it means same as double vinyl and digital as opposed to the full show. Makes sense. Was bizarre when the CD was less than the double vinyl but more than the single one. Still praying The Rap gets added and it’s the newer version of Crazy :-)

Isn't the change in date because the CD is now the full soundtrack and not the highlights as previously announced? Yes, CD and packaging are being reprinted, my mistake. LPs were recently pressed in Germany (I believe, definitely not in the UK) and would've used the newer master that's used in the trailers. Got confused as I know they also pressed a highlights LP that had something or other... not sure what's up with the social media posts sounding as they are unless this is just press material that's been in the pipeline for ages

Share! Maybe one day if I’m drunk haha. The Belle verse borrows heavily from the original Belle, The Sleeping Car anyway.

The cast screen wasn’t corrected before the end. Scott was on as Rusty. Control had more stumbles than usual and the final race got out of order (at least compared to the announcements). All fun and nice to be back after a break. Quite happy to be on the bus out of Wembley Park though. It is quite a sight to watch adults holding fireworks in their hands to launch them just metres from you, while their friends film it, right before dodging a Mario Party!

Sydnie Christmas did a segment on Starlight Express on This Morning, hadn't realised she was in the Bochum production: Yeah she was a swing for a bit and then went back to be lead Carrie The Luggage Car. I knew about her before BGT and I was annoyed when people were like oh she is on the West End in Starlight Express and it hadn't opened yet and were confused and didn't realise it was Bochum. I would love to see her if SE London has a cast change.

Middle of last week they had a show stop in the matinee and then three (!) in act one of the evening - mainly for illness and help being able to reach/people not being able to get out.
Of the shows I’ve been to there have been 3 show stops due to illness. Also widely reported in the fan forums.
I do wonder if a set where from every single seat you can’t get out is a) wise or b) safe.
It does seem to be a very frequent problem though. They must be aware of it. Wonder if there’s anything they can do. Guess not!
Interestingly I’ve never seen a show stop in Bochum for illness in the 80 odd times I’ve been. Are German’s less prone to mid show events? That couldn’t really make sense. Although of course any events due to alcohol can be taken out of the equation as that just doesn’t happen in German theatres like it does here.
It’s bizarre. I do think the main Locomotive seats could have easily been made accessible without crossing track.
It’s also a bit of a nightmare for anyone on the claustrophobia spectrum and various anxiety or sensory processing things who like to feel they could get up and leave immediately if they felt the need.

I’ve just looked at tickets for the evening I’m going and the price is half of what I paid (now £75, I paid £153). How is this fair? I complained to KX Tickets who said they operate a dynamic pricing model and if I’m not satisfied I can complain to STAR. Has anyone else had a similar experience?
