Opening in the autumn.
Seems a very boring and odd choice to me.

Shaw is now out of copyright. Surprised we aren't seeing a lot more

Presumably a different production to the Tim Pigott Smith / Michelle Dockery Bath production from a few years ago which played at the Old Vic.

I wondered if Shaw was coming back into fashion, as I saw Arms and the Man (Orange Tree) and Mrs Warren's Profession (Richmond) last year. Not a bad thing IMO. I'll definitely book for Pygmalion.

I assume as it is out of copyright and we only just had My Fair Lady, that this could be a radical version. Maybe genderbent of relocated to 21st century?

There was a Headlong version about 5 years ago with digitised voice swapping and scenes in glass boxes as I recall.

A revival of Pygmalion sounds like a very dull idea.

Wonder if it has a big name attached

I suppose I'm feeling a bit jaded by a series of disappointing new plays - promising ideas that were badly executed - so almost any revival of a decent-ish play seems like a good idea at the moment.

Les Dennis and Patsy Ferran. I enjoyed the Headlong version from 2016ish.

Ooo would love to see Patsy as Eliza. Maybe Bertie Carvel as Higgins if stage star?

Bertie Carvel would be good as Higgins although I think he has filming commitments for another series of Dalgliesh but I can't remember when they film that.

Bertie and Patsy will blow the dust off this old War Horse.

Oohh…they timed it really well! Patsy’s back again! And Bertie’s going all out as Tony Blair in the final season of The Crown, which is scheduled to air before the year ends (most likely a November release). If this goes out really well, another potential hit in the cards.
The Old Vic just posted now on their socials:
