Surprised a thread hasn't already been started on this production as it's been announced for some time now. Going to see this myself next week but wondering if anyone else is going to see this / already seen it? Also a bit surprised this isn't getting a longer life and would be keen to see what the reaction is going to be like.

The leads are certainly the strangest ever for a major production of this play -- Elizabeth McGovern seems a million miles away from Martha, as she alas was last year from Ava Gardner, and Dougray Scott? Really? Well, we shall see. Kudos though for the return to the stage of Charles Aitken, a terrific actor who has been underemployed of late: I still remember him in HAIR at the Gate in Notting Hill, in which he was absolutely superb. Hard to believe that was 18 years ago ! Time does fly .....

I was a little concerned by the 3.5hr run time but glad to say that I loved this production! Powerhouse performances from all 4 actors made the time fly. There was a lot I forgot about the play and rediscovering it made me appreciate it on a much deeper level. To get to see Elizabeth McGovern and Dougray Scott duke it out in such an intimate space is something I won’t forget. The drama very much sears through you and the effect is scintillating. Each act is quite distinct from each other and the intervals come much needed after witnessing the bitter battles of what’s just taken place before. I sense there’ll be future life for this production beyond Bath but if you get a chance to see this in the Ustinov Studio, I highly recommend hopping down and experiencing first hand the power of theatre.

I really hope this transfers. If Noises Off can keep coming in, then so can this. I was a little underwhelmed by the last West End production.

Saw today's matinee..my god this was superb! I don't think I can add much more to what to what oracle has said..I really enjoyed the staunton production at the pinter a few years back..but this went up a few notches further.. absolute knock out 10/10
