I'm glad I saw the final matinee of the 'workshop,' it had potential. However my time is limited so won't be making a return visit.

This had a polished & exciting Act 1 but it’s Act 2 was a complete mess and it’s structure fell apart however it was brimming with potential!

Agreed - I wonder if this was because Act 2 was pretty much under-rehearsed and under-performed, so didn't get any of the changes needed. When I first went, it was abruptly cut, and the second time, it felt so long that it dragged. I enjoyed Act 1 a LOT though!

Was this the midnight announcement that was mentioned in the ITW thread?

Unfortunately I think so, yes ☹️ How underwhelming 😅. Yeah...I love me some Beverely but ITW would've made me happier. Sounds like all is not lost on that front though.

This is one of the only shows i have walked out of at the interval so not matter how much work has been done I doubt i will be returning.

Easy booking for this show today. There are child discounts during the preview period but I couldn't get a discounted (£30) senior ticket for the stalls front row (E) until the main run.
Stage seats are showing as Sold Out but from past experience of the Old Vic they don't always exist. Can't recall any on stage when I previously saw Sylvia.

Can anyone who saw this at the Old Vic previously confirm that row E was and will be the front row? I want to book but don’t want to find they add D (and C too perhaps!) later on… TIA

I want to book but don’t want to find they add D (and C too perhaps!) later on… TIA I've already booked row E but will check occasionally to ensure it remains the front row. I've had to change a previous booking at the Old Vic and I wasn't charged an amendment fee so felt it was best to reserve a - probable? - front row seat now.

Thank you Paul. I’ve booked the centre of row E so fingers crossed! Good to know the box office will probably swap me if I need to ask.

Two row E tickets (still showing as front row) booked in PWC this morning. My better half is really interested in this one.

I really liked this in its first outing and can't wait to see it. A really fantastic British musical in the making. Might have to pay full whack though as there are still 394 ahead of me in the queue lol. Edit: Secured Row N of the Stalls and earned a hundred points (it's all about the points lol), so very happy.

I was in the 900s in the queue this morning but was lucky and scored the last row E seat.
I really enjoyed the first run as well - it clearly needed more work but what there was I really loved, so I'm excited to see where they're going with it.

Managed to get in the queue this morning with only 10 people ahead of me - good result! Got two Row E seats and will hope they stay front row!

Does anyone know if the Old Vic usually does any kind of deal once a show opens? Missed the £10 pwc seats and don't really fancy paying £20 for those dress/bayliss circle slips (but would be willing to pay £20 for better seats).

Todaytix rush and flash sales have occurred for most of the recent shows.

If there is excess availability then yes. Obviously hope the show does well, but also hoping some sales happen then! cheers
